Mark Giordano can be seen regularly wearing a Skins brand compression or recovery top in interviews, not a brand I usually see North American athletes wearing. Not in big four sports or team sports in general anyway.

Wonder if that has anything to do with his season in Russia. Maybe he tried them when he was playing over there and liked it better than the usual Under Armor shirts?

Those visors in junior are attached at three points, not two, not allowing them to be tilted at all. Two-point visors are not CSA certified and are therefore not allowed in the Canadian junior leagues. You will notice every player across the junior leagues uses the same visor while they are several styles in the NHL.

Not as common in recent years, but you'll get players wearing equipment with fake logos due to licensing issues. E.g., Eagle gloves with the cuff stitching replaced with Bauer or CCM, or Tackla Pants with the logo replaced with either. Joe Thornton's CCM-branded but Eagle-made gloves are probably the most notable example.
On the other hand, falsely painted sticks are quite common throughout the league, as in intra-company models, e.g., a prominent player's stick may have a Bauer Nexus paint job but when you look at the code it's actually from the Vapor line - or an older model falsely painted as a new model for advertising.
Also older: Dennis Seidenberg's Tblades and Thomas Holstrom cutting the chest protector off from his shoulder caps entirely.

Another one that you may have noticed tonight is Sam Bennett's stick having an extremely flat rocker compared to most players. He probably scores that first period redirect if his blade's rocker isn't so flat.
Spoiler!
That reminded me of one of my favourite crazy curves: Max Domi's old straight heel to big toe contraption. Great for passing and tossing sauce but brutal for shooting - which is basically his game by definition. Like something Adam Oate's would've used.
Spoiler!
