So glad I'll be on the road for game 2 on Monday. This game reminded me of when you play a video game and something stupid happens, and you just play disinterested to get it over with. The total lack of compete and the way they gave up after the Scheif injury is an unforgiveable black mark on guys like Wheeler in the leadership group, and on our coaching staff.

Nice work Flames. That was some confident 2 periods of hockey I watched.

Talbot didn't have to do much but the net is his. Team played well enough in front of him.

If I'm honest, there's does appear to be something growing in the Flames confidence wise. If they can roll through the 1st round if they get by the Kets. There could be a good run shaping up.

Couldn't disagree more. MacKinnon builds speed through the neutral zone - and the lack of a forecheck was why he was able to do it and why they were on their heels so much. They were floating high in the offensive zone rather than pressuring. This is a totally different strategy.

Yep, this. Our defensemen were forced to attempt to defend MacKinnon at 100MPH as he gained speed from 120 feet with little to no confrontation until our blue line.

A bit dramatic? No?
