I loved Maximum Carnage as a kid but I could never bring myself to enjoy the Sony Sans-Spiderverse and did not watch the first Venom.
It's a shame that the Maximum Carnage story was not used to its full potential in a multi-character crossover as there were a lot of other characters in the original story as well from across Marvel.

Yeah I just spoiled the end credits scene for myself, I don't care enough about Venom to wait.

After hearing the speculation being told to avoid the Carnage after credits is a spoiler.

Watched the newest suicide squad and now I just watched birds of prey. Wow DC sucks, what is the last OK movie they put out?

To me the new Venom movie was a not very good. 5/10.
It took too long to get going and then when it did it was lame. It was relatively short though.
Now the best part of the movie is the mid credit scene.

If you're using the Oscars as a bellwether for quality, you might be beyond help. The Joker certainly wasn't the confused mess we are accustom to from DC, but it was certainly they type of sophistry the Oscars like to award. A fine movie disguised a profound think piece to make people who want to be seen as thoughtful espouse the greatness of it, while forgetting the primary function of the artform is entertainment.
For the record it's been exactly15 years since the last time the Oscars even came close to the right answer on best picture of the year. They aren't even trying to name the best picture anymore, the are just trying to show how interesting they are by displaying their interesting taste in cinema.

First clip from HBO Series Peacemaker. NSFW.
I gotta say, I enjoyed The Suicide Squad and especially Peacemaker in it, but if they are banking on this dynamic for the show... it's a miss for me.

It will be fine if the next scene, Peacemaker thins out the table a bit.

A lot of humor is this now. Have a bunch of improve type people rattle off "jokes" one after the other. Throw in some pop culture references and you got yourself a comedy. Hopefully this is more clever than that.

Regardless I guess John Cena is becoming one of my favourite actors.
I already had a lot of respect for him as a human being, 650 wishes for the make a wish foundation, more than any other celebrity.
But his acting has improved and his dedication is admirable so I will support the show for him..

I agree he's almost always a fun addition. I don't like him so much in serious roles. One clip of him from FF was enough cringe for a lifetime (never saw the movie). But when he's in a comedic role (or straight man too) he tends to shine.
Johnny Bravo?

Only push back against John Cena is Vacation Friends, that movie was cringe fest. He was in a lead comedy role and it was bad. Seemed that he was trying to hard.
Johnny Bravo though, I think he could pull it off.

Yep that’s what I consider a streaming special, probably filmed quickly with low budget. Low expectations and Cena’s charisma was evident.

Next week is the 2nd DC Fandom, and with Flash wrapping filming this week expect a teaser along with a new Trailer for The Batman and Black Adam.

Went and saw Venom 2, I thought it was really good. I liked the pace and am glad it was a shorter movie. Lots of well timed humor and Hardy was really good again as Brock.
