I'll give Monahan some credit. I saw some push back tonight, in a tight checking playoff style game.

Johnny Gaudreau though, he completely goes invisible. He looks scared out there. They aren't winning in the playoffs with Gaudreau as their top offensive threat.

Gaudreau was lollygagging so much he passed the puck back to Rittich. WTF was that Johnny? Bench his ass until he learns hockey is also played in your own zone.

Johnny was even too lazy to skate back for the puck earlier in the shift and made a dangerous pass to Rittich.

He played a real lazy game.

Looks constipated out there, get him some Senokot.

Dammit, I miss Johnny being the most dangerous player on the ice in overtime. Two misplays and we end up on the PK. Rittich probably wishes he had that back — looked like it went under his arm.

Do teams no longer cycle the puck in OT and then make a change in the offensive zone to take advantage of a tired opponent? That seemed like a tried and true strategy that I don’t see anymore.

Nice push to get a point, good to see Hamonic get rewarded as he’s struggled this year. Hope this helps him pick up his game. Mangiapane is cementing his spot in the top 6, and Tkachuk is proving to be our best forward.

Good thing Tkachuk has been this season then.

More like Gaudreau doesn't have anything to push him anymore? Each level he has to elevate his play to compete. Now that he's in the NHL, there's no further for him to go.

Whenever bigger teams that are physical are involved, he disappears. He can't be the main guy offensively, because when the going gets tough, he's been getting shut down.

I didnt think I could get such an anger out of a hockey game until I watched whatever the hell that was from Gaudreau in OT.

I'm super pissed having watched that.

Big game, playoff like checking and atmosphere. Count on Gaudreau being a useless liability most of the night.

Glad to get a point, disappointed that it's just another example of how this team ain't winning jack ish with this core.

Thank god you’re not a coach.

Needed the silky hands of Hamonic in OT.

I’d rather have Gio with Monahan and Johnnie in OT. Just a slightly smarter game, and adjusts for Johnnie’s risk taking.

I can’t really complain about the outcome. The Blues were one point better all night. It’s a fair result.

That last play was lazy but I’m so Sick of Brodie. He’s on the ice
For practically every goal against. Why in the name of Christ is he on her ice over Andersson and Hanafin.

Is it just me or does it seem like there is something very off with Johnny this year. It’s not just his production(as he is still picking up some points). But he seems to have very little zest or enthusiasm thus far into the season. Almost like he isn’t enjoying himself. Pouting, defensively sub par, unwilling to give 100 percent or so it appears.

I mean he’s always been a bit of a whiner when it comes to the refs, so the pouting isn’t new for that regard. But just overall it seems like he isn’t the same. He still has the ability to make plays and passes, threading the needle. But something is different this year.

Rarely seems to smile or just doesn’t look like he’s having fun at all. The do anything and take control Johnny we have been used to in the past isn’t around. I remember when he wanted the puck when the game is on the line.

In fairness he has always disappeared when games get physical. But even when it’s not this year, he isn’t the same.

Happy with the point. No shame losing to the Blues. I thought it was a good effort. 5 of 6 points on this home stand so far.

Not unless letting him fumble the puck on his own despite time and space is the new tactic. Johnny is doing this to himself. The way he just killed that promising play in OT is exactly what he is right now. He needs to find his way out of it. Good thing is that he is still producing points through this slump.
