Pretty well so far, I'd say.
There was also a jersey retirement if memory serves me correctly.

If the team is insistent on wearing any black, I liked the non striped pants look much better.

Wonder if that's why Ritter pulled the trigger on his retro mask too. Seemed odd at the time he would get a new mask when they only wear the retros for 4 games.

What's got into the Flames organization this season? I honestly believe it was social media (and Calgarypuck) finally becoming relevant and vocal enough for what was once a fairly arrogant organization in terms of marketing.

They definitely heard the criticism for years, but thought "Whatever, bunch of dudes on the internet, we don't have to worry about that". But in the past couple seasons with more and more fan's voices coming "online" I think they realized all the little things matter more to the fanbase than they thought.

Now they're hitting it out of the park on almost everything. What a great change in attitude, drive and results from the Flames off ice this year.

One thing that's always baffled me though, is jerseys. The Flames are right up there for squeezing every single penny of profit they can from the fans (not necessarily a criticism, it's their right and they are business), but for some reason they've largely left alone a license to print money that almost every other team in the league attacks as often as their fanbase will stomach.

It's so weird. Did they really just not think of it? Did they not think they could pull it off? Not enough capital put into design marketing? Makes no sense for a money grabbing, revenue maximizing team.

It was my first thought as well. I figured there was no well he got that mask just to wear once more in a regular season game, something else was up

Pumped!

Definitely the right call, and it felt that this was building to the switch the way marketing has approached things lately.

I have a retro white jersey but of course cannot wear it to home games..

So will have to wear my Gio autographed "regular" jersey.

Such problems I have!

Anyone know our record in retros vs. the black Cs? It seems like we lose more games in the retros than Black Cs. Dumb reason not to go retros but I'm superstitious lol.

Also, most fans will be wearing the black C jerseys so there's going to be a little disconnect between the crowd in players in terms of atmosphere. I'd rather we go full retros next year in the regular season to give enough regular fans motivation and time to get them.
