7th gen Ipod?

Anyone know any news about when a new ipod will be coming out? It's been a year since they came out with the last new line, and it seems they change on average any year. I can't seem to find anything on it.

Doesn't apple hold some sort of press conference in october?

They're having an "event" on Tuesday. Expected are new Nanos, which will probably go back to the style before the stubby one, with a larger screen.

Yup, Tuesday is the Ipod event. Interested to see what they have up their sleeve. I'd like to see a higher capacity, lower priced touch..but not holding my breath.

Yeah, new nano screenshots have been floating around the web, and a new touch with the curved back similar to iPhone 3G is rumoured as well.

yup, what everyone said about new nanos.

In addition, touches are supposed to get an upgrade (rumored to have volume buttons, curvy back like the iphone, some people thing it'll have gps).

we'll see on Tuesday, I guess.

Also, the NIKE+ system may get revamped to include touches/iphone, and more features on the system and will trickle down to Nano.

May have to get a new Nano..have a 5th gen, and didn't like the little stubbies that replaced in.

Or the Touch, if the interface (I didn't like the coverflow being the only way to select music (couldn't even advance to next song) when in landscape form) has been updated suitably for me.

Probably storage increases and price drops too lets hope.
