Default Wranglers LIVE!

Our boys are in town to visit the fizzling salmon kings.

Wranglers currently leading 1 - 0 after Limpright marked the scoreboard.

Lalande has been sharp

Sorry about the delay, my thumbs had fry grease all over them.

Headed into the second it is a 1 - 1 tie thanks to Wes Goldie's late period heorics

Rough stuff continues as our St. Croux scraps with Salmon Kings captain Wes Goldie

Things have come to a hault after a slough of whistles. At least 6 in the las two minutes.

Energy picks up as the crowd gets fired up after some chippy play leading to an undisiplined penalty by our Straub

Kings forecheck has not let up after the Wranglers take three straight penalties in a game slipping out of the hands of the reff.

Wranglers goal as Miller puts one in off a tip on a quick 2 on 1

The penalty filled second comes to an end with a 2 1 Wranglers lead

Wranlgers come out strong in the first 5 minutes of the third.

They extend the lead to 3 - 1 but victoria answers back to make it 3-2 as Pear gets his first of the season off an odd man rush

Kings let their emotion get the best of them as they take a penelty on their next shift.

These two teams do not like each other. Chippy play is picking up. If the Wranglers get the insurance goal they have been looking for in this back and forth period The scraps will come with a fury

Limpright gets his second of the night in the vacant net to ice this one.

4-2 Wranglers.

FF15's three stars:
3. Kevin Lalande- Some big saves early kept the W ahead.
2. Wes Goldie- the man in Victoria shows us again why he's best on the island
1. Limpright- 2 goals from the winning captain

he didn't score but stood out from time to time by creating chances from nothing.

I'm going to the game on Sunday so I'll do my best to provide some insight as well.

went to the game tonight, and i think i was the only one not cheering for the salmon kings

decent game, but it was fisher in net, he played pretty good.

don't really follow the echl level that much, but there were times were the wranglers were both outplayed and outplaying

2-1 win after being down 1-0 after the first.

powerplay was ok to start, then was bad by the end of the game, pk was solid. Within less than 4 minutes into the game, killed off a 1:00 5 on 3... and then in the second killed off a 2:00 5 on 3 (our captain got an unsportsmanlike conduct for arguing a bad call on the first penalty), both teams went 0/5 on the pp.

Great game tonight. The Wranglers looked pretty awful early on, getting outshot 20-3 in the first period. Lalande was the only reason they were in the game at that point.

The second period was all Wranglers as they outshot the Salmon kings 18-5, but they headed into the locker room locked in 0-0 draw. They had a couple of PP opportunities but couldn't convert.

The third was pretty even. The Wranglers got caught running around in there own end a couple of times and that eventually put them at a 5-on-3 disadvantage. Some solid PK work and we're headed to overtime.

Overtime was dominated by the Wranglers but the Salmon Kings were doing just enough to hold on until Sean Owens of the Wranglers knocked in a loose puck with 15 seconds remaining in the overtime period.

Final Score -

Wranglers: 1
Salmon Kings: 0

Notes:

- The Wranglers swept the Salmon Kings over the four game road series and earned their sixth straight win.

- Hugo Carpentier was pretty meh for the most part. On the positive side he had a nice deke that resulted in a scoring chance and did a decent job of forechecking. On the downside, he was very lazy defensively and made some poor passes.

- Kevin Lalande stopped 38 shots to record his 4th shutout of the season. He was absolutely sensational. The kid seems to have his positioning down to a science and made some unreal saves to keep the Wranglers in the game.
