They actually have a pretty solid prospect in their ranks who might take a step. Erik Portillo.

LA picks it up and is closing in on a two on one. After at least a three second delay, LA is called for tripping? Why wasn’t the whistle blown instantly?

Had those two plays been called properly, the Kings could very likely have been up 4-1 in the game and well on the way to a commanding 3-1 series lead.

So the the answer is a resounding yes, in this series…
Haha wow, those are some hot takes…FYI the whistle was blown instantly on the Fiala penalty when the kings touched the puck.

Didn't recall this being noticed during the broadcast, but it seems Skinner's give away was due to his stick having been broken earlier in a slash by Kempe and Skinner never noticed.

Didn't post in this thread during the series. LA is a gritty team. Their offense and powerplay was better than last year. Adrian Kempe is a solid solid player. Their goaltending was below average. Korpisalo will be looking for a new team this offseason as I doubt LA brings him back. I think they should try for Hellebuyck in the offseason. With him in net and 1 more forward, they could be a real force. LA lacks that top forward up front. They rely on things by committee (Kopitar, Kempe, Iafallo, Arvidsson, etc). I predicted Oilers in 7 before the series as I thought we were the better team and it ended up being in 6. Look forward to the next series.
