How is it possible to have 102 points and be on the ice for 100 against? It's really hard to believe.

Their game plan hasn’t changed one bit. Keep McDrai on the ice for 30+ minutes a night and pray that they can outscore their problems. With all these blown leads and the amount of goals they’re giving up, they’ve been extremely lucky just to get to OT.
These losers don’t scare anyone, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see them miss the playoffs altogether. If they do manage to somehow squeak in they’ll likely be done in 6 games or less. This Oilers team is built for the regular season and 3 on 3, not the playoffs.

It doesn’t work like that. Only even strength pts count not full season points for +\- but he’s still an embarrassing + 2 with 50 Even strength points

He scores a crapload of Powerplay points (no +), rarely plays PK (so no stat) and is on the ice for a veritable tsunami of even strength goals against.

Another joke is Edmonton being among the league leaders in PP opportunities. There are AHL teams that could dismantle them 5-on-5. How are teams taking ANY penalties against them?

Have you seen the state of officiating lately?
I know its a common bone of contention but it seems like this season has dialed 'Game Management' up to an outrageous '11.'
I can completely understand why Oiler fans think there is some shadowy 'League Conspiracy' afoot, they are just too thick to realize that its heavily slanted in their favour.
To the point that you've got analysts and broadcasters seriously suggesting that McDavid get to play the game according to special rules that apply only to him.
The number of powerplays they get is directly correlated to their record, if that adjusts down, even just slightly, they're a lottery team.
And thats not even taking into consideration that they're running a short-bench for cap reasons despite fairly egregiously circumventing the Cap by coercing players onto LTIR or into Retirement.

That's why McTissue backed out of the speed skate
He's slippin
I like that he floats out from behind the net back toward his stomping ground in the neutral zone just floating and watching

Lol! You've got guys jamming away at the net...Draisaitl, to his credit, is at least present and watching.
McDavid is already blowing the zone and waiting at the blue line. Watch McDavid. He gets beaten aaaand....circles behind the net and straight up leaves.
They're jamming away on the goal line and McDavid is at the blueline. He is gone.

Powerplay Quarterback
|
On Twitter, Oilers fans convinced they are getting a top defenseman, a top 6 forward and a bottom 6 forward by the trade deadline. Names being thrown around are Eckholm, Karlsson, Kane, McCabe, Domi, Jeannie, Lafferty. Also, they will do this with only unloading players such as JP or Foegele and the teams will retain 50%.
It is absolutely embarrassing the low hockey knowledge that the Oilers fan base possesses. Such a joke of a franchise and fan base

Mcdavid getting burned by Mckinnon is bad.

I really hope the Oilers push all in. So long as they don't bring in a goalie they are screwed.

I like the Karlsson idea because of the price tag the sharks would have to make it work with edm
Probably 2 firsts and holloway or bourgeault, plus a not useless cap dump
It would butter up the Oilers nicely to be godawful as soon as Connor jets
