I would think the point is that Tkachuk is not a fighter, he gets into scraps, but he’s not one of the “old world” guys like that are going to have it so their helmet “magically” pops off.
Fighting is not Tkachuk’s game. Drawing guys into them is.

This was a post-game interview. Man, if Tkachuk was on the Leafs, this would have NEVER been tweeted. They'll make Tkachuk look good. Too bad he plays for the Flames, SPORTSNET said.

He's so triggered, its amazing.
"over it."
Please, son.
That real estate space, was given to Tkachuk on a 10 yr mortgage, free of charge.
Wow. I don't know if I've ever seen a pro-hockey player whine this much about a rivalry in the media. He got the upper hand last night and still comes across like a cry baby.

They are just similar types of players playing the storyline up, stoking the rivalry and feeding the media and fans delicious storylines, and we're eating it up like candy. This is the Connor McGregor playbook that sells tickets and attention.

And I love it and need more of it.
I hear what you're saying. But if Doughty is just playing, he is one hell of an actor. One HELL of an actor!
Before the thread ages out just wanted to add that Doughty's Norris win in 2015-16 was a complete joke. Karlsson had 82 points that year, 34 more than Doughty. Karlsson should've won back-to-back Norris trophies.

Points aren't everything for a defenseman (though I know they carry more weight for the Norris than they should). I thought Doughty was the best all around Dman in the league that year, and was well deserving of the hardware.
But since one MT has entered the league, Doughty has been a shadow of his former self.
As much as people liked me and that guy talking back and forth, my mom didn’t like it too much. She just wants me to go out there and do what I can on the ice and keep it out of the media. She was not happy with me, especially after the celebration.” - Drew Doughty ...
Still can't bring himself to saying Tkachuk's name either.
