If the first game on May 4 starts at 1:30pm, how early would the pre-game pub session start? Would this be open to those not (yet) part of the Foot Soldiers supporters group?
We're planning for 11 am. Ideally enough time to get some breaky, a pint or two, and a bus ride down. Open to everyone.

I think they will have something in the plaza as well. It will make sense for people who want to drive or take transit down before the game. The supporters group wants to pre-game at a pub though.
Deffo. Having a few in the pub before and after is part and parcel of footy. I've probably missed over 50% of kick-offs at the Emirates trying to fit in one more point before walking to the ground.
The Ship is great because you can take the train down and also keep the session going when you get back from the ground. Being central is key.

Kits will be unveiled be April 4 with a league wide show. I've got 10 or so spots left at Kildare's in Silverado where the club will be streaming the reveal. I think they will be showing them live after the reveal, not 100% sure.
Cavalry defeated FC Edmonton 2-0 in their closed door friendly this afternoon. Maybe we should start an "FC Edmonton Is No Good - New league, same trash" thread.

Picked up three tickets to the first match for my niece and nephew this morning. It's in Section 102 so a bit far from the Foot Soldiers but I reckon the kiddos will still have a blast. As soon as I book my October trip, I'll grab some for myself.

That SAIT venue is awesome - if it could be expanded, that would be a great central place for soccer. Maybe for my NW Calgary team.
It's a beautiful field (even though its fieldturf), but I couldn't imagine it ever being able to handle more than a couple thousand spectators with the parkade structure limitations. Might be a good venue for Foothills PDL or an eventual CPL Div 2 team though.
Looking at Ticketmaster for the home opener. Almost all seats on the lower end of the pricing are gone. The south end has 3 seats left. The more expensive seats are about 50% sold. Not bad!
I'm hearing section 201 (beside the supporters section) is sold out for the year as well.

Glad to hear its shaping up to be close to a full house.
I suspect the top few rows of 104-106 will be vacant for much of season, but that was the risk in a higher pricing model. If the team catches on, hopefully they fill up too.
Shermanator - for the inaugural game at Spruce Meadows, are there any chants we should be gearing up for to sing with the supporters section? Would love to see a full soccer chant going with as many people as possible, gotta do my part!

I've got a few for you that we will likely sing:
- Hoping to sing "I Wanna be in the Cavalry" by Corb Lund at kick off every game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1V3JW4HeBs
- Ledgerwood to the tune of Baby Shark. "LEDGERWOOD...DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO" (sorry if that is stuck in your head for a month now)
- This chant for Dominique Malonga https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Dlv1vsqtAo
- This one for Mason Trafford https://www.fanchants.com/football-s...anssons-magic/
"Mason Trafford is a wizard
He wears a magic hat.
And if you throw a brick at him.
He'll head the ####er back.
He'll head it to the left.
He'll head it to the right.
And when we win the CPL
We'll sing this song all night.
We tend to do things more terrace style compared to other supporters groups in Canada, where we sing based on what happens on the pitch, rather than sing the same song for 5 minutes straight regardless what is occurring in the game.
