I was beyond amused at the pair that managed to wedge their car into the road. That takes some skill... Esp when they could have backed up a couple meters and the raised edge was gone.
I'm also amused that the two tallest contestants did the lasso-jump, with ease. While the rest of the teams struggled.
Kinda surprised they had a double-leg, but still also had an elimination.
Was actually a really fun start.
I have zero chance with my team of Mary and her dad, but at least she is way more patient with him than that crazy one last season was with her dad

Gotta stop picking these brother and sister teams! Although the last time my team went out first my other team won, so maybe that's good news for Michelle and Sean.
I'll be away for the next couple weeks, so will get behind in my viewing. Hopefully I still have a team left when I get home.
Well that was a crazy leg for me, team #1 and team WTF are you doing?
I was joking with my wife at the end when my team was eliminated that Phil had another clue in his back pocket but just thought it was best to put them out of their misery and send them home before they wind up driving to another country or getting stuck in a box somehow

The flag challenge seemed...dis-proportionally hard compared to the balloon one. Or maybe there was some kind of trick to the flag challenge we just didn't get to see get figured out because basically no one did it.
The face-painting on those Monarch dancers was very well done.
I have been wondering some about needing to select contestants for physical fitness/aptitude. I had been starting to say age, but...Chris was the oldest at 60, with Derek next (57). The two older ladies are tied in age (Shelisa and Angie at 55)...so I don't think that age is the issue here, as the difference between Shelisa and Angie clearly shows.
But...watching Steve last season and now watching Chris and Angie this season...I am worried they are going to fall over from a heart attack or something and that's...not fun/entertaining to watch. I'm not cheering them on, hoping they 'overcome the odds'...I am actually watching them worried we're going to see one collapse into a heart attack. I don't like that, and it's not entertaining.

Is it just me, or are their way more ads? It feels like they added 10 minute of content and 20 minutes of commercials. Not that this episode had much interesting content.
