I know Reece James played well on the weekend, but even if we are going with 3 at the back in the knock outs, so walker is being treated like a CB, that's still 2 backup rightbacks
Kane
Graelish Foden Sancho
Mount rice
Shaw Maguire stones walker
Against a side where you want a bit more cover
Kane
Graelish mount Foden
Rice henderson
Shaw Maguire stones walker
3 at the back for very strong attacking teams
Kane
Graelish Sancho
Shaw rice mount trippier
Maguire stones walker
I expect though that sterling starts at least the first game, love to see Bellingham get some time in a more attacking lineup beside rice, he's our best box to box midfielder and even though he's young he's shown at Dortmund he's ready

Short tournament I would play it safe with Henderson
Errors? Watch Henderson's highlights of his second most recent game, against United's most heated rival.
Poor punch, results in lack of clearance and a goal conceded.
Brutal spilled save at his chest, right into the gut of the box and another goal conceded.
Finally, Salah has a breakaway, and his positioning is school-box. Way too far back in the crease, making it an easy tuck.
I really wanted him to take the reigns, but he's another Foster.
I think you're overstretching there in order to argue your point particularly with Shoulder's goal.
The fumble? Yes. Conceded.
The punch? Wasn't great but he managed to get contact and get it out of the box. By far not his fault .
Final goal. It's a one on one. Sure he takes another step to his right and leaves the left wide open.
Again. I'm not arguing for Henderson's brilliance but more that Pickford is the sort of keeper that makes a back 4 nervous. I don't get that from Henderson. In fact if there's one thing I'll credit him for it's his ongoing communication with them.
Pickford for me is a catalogue of errors more likely to lose you a game than win one. And that doesn't even include the VVD incident.

The punch could've been better, but you're right a number of errors afterwards leading to the goal.
The breakaway though, look at this abysmal positioning. He's INSIDE the 6, as Salah is OUTSIDE the 18. Would he be prone to a chip? Absolutely, but you force the striker to make that shot. Its' evident Mctominay is not going to catch him, so you go out and rush him -- play the tackle, & if you don't make the save, hopefully you've disrupted the striker's movement enough that your defenders can save the attempt.
When pressure's on, he was average. We have yet to see him, lead a top team, and be the difference. We have seen that out of Pickford.
I agree with a lot of that, but "he's just another Foster" is an extremely premature take. He had a stinker against Liverpool, but let's actually give him a full year as #1 and see how he does before we write him off.
The Euro discussion is moot anyway, it's going to be Pickford.

yeah I watched most of it. Alexander-Arnold walked off injured late with a thigh injury.
obviously can't draw a lot of conclusions from this, half of the team was still missing. England was the better team for most of the game, but Austria had some good chances too (Sabitzer hit the bar). Couldn't deal with Grealish though at all, we constantly had to foul him.

England have confirmed Trent Alexander-Arnold will miss Euro 2020 after suffering a thigh injury which is expected to rule the Liverpool player out for up to six weeks.
The 22-year-old underwent a scan on Thursday having limped out of the previous evening's 1-0 win over Austria at Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium.
