How long until these things are cheap enough to mass produce and toss out on the battlefield, being cheaper than sending soldiers? I suspect we are already there, they are just working out the kinks.

Just like bomb robots taking over the work of the guy in the bomb suit.... this thing will be used nation wide for high risk police work in no time. Are you a cop in Ulvade and there's a gunman held up in a room with hostages? Noooo problem, just send a few of these guys in while you stand at a distance (cough just like you already do cough) and can still pocket all that sweet sweet income.

The obvious solution to school shootings is just to stock every school with a couple of these and have them wander the halls and grounds.

How long until we see something like this situation play out with spot? I remember spots being around $70K, so I would guess we'll see some US company selling customized versions with guns for rich folk before long. $100K for your own armed robotic dog to keep antifa off your lawn? Sounds like a surefire product for dystopia south of the border.
