I'm not a car guy, but if I'm riding shotgun and smell burning brakes, I'm not just shrugging my shoulders when the driver says "Yea I have to ride them because the throttle is sticking". That should have been the "Pull over now, this shoot is done" moment

The car had full 5-point harnesses, they just only buckled the lap portion. Again, so many stupid decisions
