Re-watched the "Serpico" episode 2 days ago, and Dennis' "jammed up" line was just killing me for some reason.

I've been telling almost everyone I know the last 2 days straight how I'm going to jam them up.

The Serpico episode is the one that finally hooked me. I was waffling on what I thought about the show, but that did it. Charlie's Pacino voice had me laughing my ass off.

Ya Charlie's money as Serpico, love all the old nostalgia shows they mix in there. Pretty heavy dose of the 80's usually of course.

...which is why I guess I shouldn't have been too surprised to recently discover Glenn Howerton aka Dennis was the lead role in "That 80's Show", which was as terrible as it was short lived.

That episode was an instant classic. One of my favourites.

Charlie's rant in the police station and his Spin Doctors Mix speech at the end was just great.

I saw a clip when Charlie was on Conan last night, shows the return of the Maniac aka Rowdy Roddy Piper. Only a couple more months....

imo, season 7 was the best season and season 8 was the worst, so I just don't know what to think about the new one.

Just started watching this show not long ago. Matata says season 7 is the best one, but what does everyone else think? I've caught random episodes on t.v. and there are definitely different vibes at different points.

What's your favourite season?

After looking through the episode guide, I'm having a tough time choosing between 4, 5 and 6. You really can't go wrong either way

I feel like season 4 and 5 had the most gems in them for me, just so many good episodes there cant think of ones I don't like from those seasons. Although as for the whole series there are only a few episodes I don't like quite as much but then when I rewatch those I seem to catch more jokes when I didn't like the episode as much the first time around.

Ya before I checked the episode guide, I had already assumed it'd be between 4 and 5. But I was surprised how many solid ones 6 had. The area where I may set 4 & 5 apart from 6 is they both have a potential "best ever" episode (4= Mac & Charlie Die, 5= The Gang Gives Frank an Intervention), where 6 is missing this, IMO. Also, 5 has the best (in terms of funniest) season finale I think.

...ah screw it, for the sake of closure I'll say 5. That's what I thought it'd be anyway before I looked.

I'd say 3 - 7 are all really close. I give to 7 because I love dark humour and 7 is crazy dark. They had an opportunity to build on the shows growing popularity to reach a broader audience, instead, they went with vomiting blood, pedophiles, dead babies and obesity. I respect the hell out of that.

Season 4 & 5, can't decide which is better. Season 4's finale the Night Man Cometh was absolutely ridiculous probably my most favourite episode, laughed through the whole thing. But season 5 has Kitten Mittens and DENNIS system.

I don't think season 8 was terrible, I watched a couple of episodes last night and thought they were pretty funny. They tried a few different things and I thought they worked for the most part, looking forward to season 9

Game of Thrones’ Writers Take On ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Quote:
The “Game of Thrones” creators first met Mr. McElhenney and his wife, Kaitlin Olson, another star of “It’s Always Sunny,” several months ago at a party in Los Angeles and confessed their love for the comedy. “Like all actors,” Mr. Benioff and Mr. Weiss said, “they respond well to worship.”

As it turned out, “Game of Thrones” is one of a few shows that Mr. McElhenney and Ms. Olson, who are parents of two young sons, still watch regularly. “Once those kids are in bed,” Ms. Olson said, “we get real grown up.”

When Mr. Weiss and Mr. Benioff hit upon an idea for “It’s Always Sunny” — a gloss on the novel and short story “Flowers for Algernon,” in which Mr. Day’s ne’er-do-well character is convinced that a scientific experiment is making him smarter — they suggested it to Mr. McElhenney.
