Default Test Drive Unlimited 2 - Update - release date February 9!

Have any of you played the original Test Drive Unlimited? It is my all time favorite game. An open concept on the island of Hawaii, but you can have multiplayer races etc. What makes it the best is analog clutch, brake, gas and e-brake. Interestingly in the original clutch makes you accelerate much faster, causing players in the US to accuse the great european players (and myself haha) of cheating. But screw them. Hope it's the same in this new one

Anyway it's still fun to this day. You can always take a turn better or differently.

Hoping the new one will be equally sweet.

Here's a video of me just messing around free roam with a couple of guys in a lamborghini in the original:

I played the first one and really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to the second one.

The second one is located in Ibiza and Oahu.

Thanks for the head's up on this. I was just saying to a friend the other day that it would be nice if GT5 had some sort of 'roaming' feature. Looks like this game might satisfy that wish.

Thanks for the heads up. I have it on my Steam wishlist and was just waiting for it to go on sale.

Any details on why it's so bad?

Are you on pc? Well the handling and physics took a major step backwards. It's really dumbed down now and awkward. Plus the controls i can't get right, and clutching is disabled unless you have a wheel with an h-shifter.. but the people using wheels don't say it's good either.

Here is the feedback forum:
http://forums.testdriveunlimited2.co...play.php?f=690

lol. Think all platforms are very bad!

So I guess I should be on the lookout for a decent priced used copy of the PS3.

Just an update but the game isn't so bad you just have to mess with the controller settings a lot. Seems like they are reversed to what you'd expect. There are a lot of bugs, but it's a huge game

I didn't like it at first but it's growing on me. Overall it's got a lot of variety and is very fun.
