The blueline is a real strength, boosted by a big re-rate for Seider. Forward group has a strong top line but drops off into the 2nd line, and further down. Probably needs to be addressed. Was hoping for the Terk to have a stronger rating, but it’s middle of the road for #1 so that’s OK. Rittich isn’t a good back-up except he’s cheap.

Re-rates were generally in-line with expectations. Having made no changes since the playoffs, the theme remains the same for the Stars, very strong 2-way center depth, a few pure goal scorers, defensive minded d (but no stud), strong goaltending.

Would like to improve the back-end a bit but we'll see how the off-season goes. Have a couple exceptional value contracts with Robertson, Farabee, Saros...and nice to see Boldy get a playable rating - gotta have 3 or more of those to really get depth given the salary cap (IMO).

Overall, I continue to like the 2-way setup and depth. I'm sure the sim won't...just because

D is weaker than years past but our goaltending is strong enough to make up for it.
Really excited to see Linholm at 1C this year. We planned to slot Schenn as 2C but Scheifele hasn't moved and will probably dress for the season opener.
We could use a 70ish rated winger for the 3rd line but grid costs left us with more cap than we anticipated so we will solve that through free agency.
