Buffalo fans, is this a good deal? I don't know enough about Dylan Cozens to judge this deal.

Not sure if Cozens is worth that yet but it seems like a solid bet that he exceeds that value pretty quickly.
Sabres avoiding bridge deals and instead locking up their core within their 20s rather than overpaying beyond their primes.

Nearly point per game player at 22 years old. Kevyn Adams is looking good setting this team up for the long run.

He's on pace for 72 points this year - so if he can continue that it's already fair value for $7M.
Anything above and beyond would be gravy. Just have to hope that he can improve or at least continue this pace which seems pretty fair.

Welp, I said the same thing last year with Tage Thompson when I thought it was too much for him, and I've been proven wrong. So I guess Buffalo hopes to strike gold twice in two years. We'll see. With these deals, you win some, and you lose some. It's too bad Flames didn't do the same thing with Chucky after he came out of his ELC. An 8 years x $8M would look really good right now for Chucky.

Buffalo is certainly making some shrewd moves with their young core. With Power and Krebs trending upwards and a stud like Dahlin in the fold, this team could be scary good for a long time.

Yep. By as early as next season he could be outperforming this contract. He's getting better every season and almost a ppg this season.

Sabres have a lot of great young parts; do they have a goalie? What is Luukkonen upside? Realistically, Devon Levi is 3 years away. Maybe a landing spot for Demko

I really hope Buffalo wins a cup before the Oilers. For some reason, I feel like the salt from Oiler fans would be pretty high if that were to happen.
And for that reason, I have no issues cheering for Buffalo to do well.

It's a great deal, he's been excellent this season and almost at a point per game. It's important for Buffalo to save some money on this deal, and on the Thompson deal like they did, because I don't think Dahlin is gonna come in at discount next off season!

Buffalo is doing a good job of locking up their home grown talent. Keeping them happy and getting them locked in.
Hard not to be impressed by their work in the last two seasons.
Dahlin + Powers anchoring the back end, they’re going to be a good team.

His stats haven't been great but they seem to win more games when he's in net. I think they are carrying three goaltenders at the moment which is weird. Not sure why they just don't put Comrie on waivers and send him down to get some conditioning.

Skinner rebounding back to stardom is huge for the Sabres. These deals are all gravy.

Seem a lot but if you look at it closely, he is on pace for 70 pts and only 21 so it’s a good deal for both
Mangi got 5.8M for 55 pts and Strome gets 5M so…
