Well the break didnt seem to do any good for Markstrom.

Bad pinch for the 2-1 but the lack of big saves when the game is tied or close remains an issue

There was no reason for that 2 on 1 to even happen. A nothing play and Zadorov is just kinda caught in no man's land. Needless odd man break that turns into a goal.

I actually thought the Backlund cross crease early that Mangiapane couldn’t put a stick on was a better chance than that one. But yes, aside from maybe that. Nothing, then grade A chance. And Markstrom I think guessed short side shot.

I feel this is the last time we see Markstrom for a while. That wasn't a particularly dangerous 2 on 1

Yes it's a 2 on 1 but Markstrom is too small in the net and gets best clean on an unobstructed look.

It's not a horrible goal but he made these saves with regularity last season and now they essentially always go in.

Yup, for a big goalie he sure made himself small on that shot.
