This one is obvious but top 5 will have some interesting picks.

not that it matters much, but I believe Derek Grant qualifies as a prospect with your criteria.

Oops forgot about Ferland. Personally I wouldn't put Jankowski in the top five until he shows us that he could be a special player.

Bennett's the no brainer here. I'd like to contend that round 2 doesn't start until after prospect camp so we can get a feel for the new kids coming in. Because Right now I feel like a guy like Kylington or Andersson are going to get a raw deal in this until they see them up close.

Round 2 vote is Kylington for me. I'll be in a major minority but I can live with it.

Good timing. I was just doing my list yesterday. Mostly erasing Reinhart, Hanowski etc. but also adding the new guys.

Since this round is a given I will introduce my prospect awards which I made up yesterday.

The Gaudreau Award (Thought little of him at the draft but now I'm excited about him)
goes to...Brandon Hickey

The Tkachuk Award (Just not as good as I thought he was)
goes to...Max Reinhart

The Chucko Award (the biggest dropper on my list compared to last year)
goes to ...Bryce van Brabant

The Nemiscz Award (the prospect I'm most concerned about after last year)
goes to...Patrick Sieloff

The Jooris Award (holy crap where did he come from?)
goes to Josh Jooris of course

and finally the Jankowski Award for best long-term project
goes to Adam Ollas Mattsson

Kylington isn't a top prospect yet. He could well become that (and I expect him to) if/when he progresses and starts to harness that potential.

But to say he is #2 now is just a flawed opinion.

Disagree completely. We'll just have to wait and see won't we now?

I am of the minset that the Flames absolutely stole a top 5 pick with the 60th pick. I could be wrong but I have total faith that the injury riddled season was an abberation. So I have no problem backing my opinion flawed in your eyes or not. Just watch, prospect camp, he's going to blow the roof off winsport.

I get it. He has potential out the wazzoo.

But to become a top prospect, he has to show it - he has to progress. Right now, he's the guy that dropped to 60.

Come on kid, prove them wrong!

Me too. I totally missed him and voted Poirier. I know I took for granted that he should be on the Flames this year.

I think I Said it last year, but these kind of lists would be better if they were strictly based on age, without anyone's arbitrary definition of what a prospect is. A best U25 list would be much more interesting to me...include Johnny, Monahan, Dougie, etc....
Anyway, I love these lists however we do it...looking forward to the results.

I won't post names because people didn't like that in the other thread, but like the other poster said, you should be required to post a brief explanation if you didn't vote for Bennett in this poll.

It's honestly just kind of silly to not vote Bennett, imo. The one guy stated that he didn't consider Bennett to still be a prospect while Bingo clearly defined him as a prospect for this poll, so that was just a simple reading omission/error by the poster, so that makes sense, but how did anyone else seriously have Poirer or Gillies ahead of Bennett?

Did the same, list is far to big, most wouldn't get a vote even if mommy was voting.

Wow, amazing to look at a year. Ferland jumps big time, he was almost dead in the water at this point last year.
