I have Atkinson on the roster, who is injured, but didn't put him on IR because I had a forward replacement also on the roster. Would that now be a no-no?

If we vote with Doug’s suggestion which I think is good, we need everyone to be crystal clear if a GM chooses to keep a guy on IR, he can’t play at all.
Would that still be correct here?

Will a team be able to leave a player on IR when they hit 100 as well?
Nevermind. Read the first post. The poll question made it seem that 100 is also discretionary

Still need clarification on this part. If we go with Doug's suggestion and a GM keeps a guy on IR until they are 100, can they play in the sim OR only when off IR?

If they are on IR they can't play.
Again - we will need GMs to hold themselves accountable. It will be hard to monitor and enforce

I don't love that deeper teams with playable sub 23 year old Ahlers will be able to use them more for guys who are 96/97ish based on schedule play. GM's should have to manage the ice time better. This seems like an easy out for the deep teams and nothing for the weaker teams

One thing to keep in mind, a 95CD player is 5 days away from being 100CD, maybe max he misses 3 games.
If a team is able to gain an advantage over that period, it is only a short-term advantage that will quickly need to be corrected. Plus if any advantage was gained it's most likely still not as good as the player not getting injured.
I could be wrong, but I think the bigger importance was to put an end to AHL players playing games in the CPHL and not being brought up to the CPHL officially. Or IR was being delayed or used to prevent the need to make roster moves to address roster requirements.
For example
I wanted to try the 3 goalie suggestions from Grant as a way to solve the Unkown Player being in my lineup on games day. Rather than just trying it in the SIM, I called Michael DiPietro up to the CPHL team first
The players we play in the game should match what is shown on our roster page (which is used to meet roster requirements). This sounds obvious, but there have been some questions about whether some rosters were SIM errors or not. And if they are errors, asking questions here can help resolve them
