Lol.
I'm sure Stroman will take heat for his attitude somehow after this too.

Stroman pulled because of a blister.
RIP Stroman.
Will they bury him in the same graveyard as Sanchez?

He does not manage, he just does the same things over and over. Use a pinch runner, squeeze that guy in from third, double steal, hit and run. For a team that has nothing to lose, they play boring baseball. The home run hitting team is long gone and Gibbons does nothing to try to generate runs. Earlier this year when he was keeping "Russel Martins bat" in the line up..... He was hitting in the mid 100's. Same with the bullpen, same guys no matter what. Tepera has blown how may saves in the last month? The line up is garbage and Gibbons is useless.

Fair enough, I see things completely differently. I see a team that lost Sanchez, Donaldson, Tulowitzki and Osuna for the basically the entire season and somehow has kept this team somewhat competitive. You can debate tactics here and there but really he sets the line up, and manages the bullpen and the rest is really left out of his hands. You said it yourself, the line up is garbage, Tony Larussa wouldn't be able to get much more out of this line up.
Tepera was good against the Mariners two games ago, he went with him again to keep Giles ready for the ninth. He walked the 2nd best player in the league and then gave up a HR to the MLB leader in home runs, i'm sure it's happened to a lot of pitchers, not sure how that's on Gibbons.
I like Gibbons, he's part of a dying breed of old school style of managers. I like his quotes, his demeanour in the dugout makes me laugh, the players love him, he stands up for his players, I think he manages the bullpen fairly well and he managed the team to two ALCS championships. I doubt he's back next season, so personally I am going to enjoy watching him manage the Jays these last two months.

Of course Mookie Betts would hit a 1 out triple.
I can't watch anymore.

What would be the point of firing Gibby at this point
He knew coming into this season he was toast. This team had no hope from day 1
More Rogers delusion

Win or lose, whatever at this point. But some takeaways are last season you wouldn't see the fight they had this game offensively at least. That's good I guess.
Also, wow Giles that's rough man. Guy has all the tools but I can see why the Astros needed an upgrade.

Vladdy 3 for 4 today in AAA
He's slashing .389 / .556 / 1.000 so far at that level.

I really hope the Jays can use the last couple months to get some MLB reps for:
McKinney
Jansen
Tellez
Alford
Pompey
Pannone
Paulino
Reid-Foley
Not going to be easy though, with all the extra bodies around. Even despite piles of injuries it'll be hard to get reps for Jansen with Martin and Maile around, or get Tellez reps with Smoak and Morales around, and equally as difficult to get any outfielders reps with Granderson, Pillar, Hernandez and Grichuk around.

On a better note Vladdy Jr. just hit his first homer of AAA and is 3 for 3 for the day!

First prospect ever to get an 80 hit tool from MLB pipeline.
19 years old and dominating at every level.
Hit a ball with exit velo of 120 mph. In the MLB this season, only four balls have been hit 120 m.p.h. or higher. Giancarlo Stanton has two, Aaron Judge has one, and Gary Sanchez has the other.
Believe the hype.
