Suffice to say we will now be invoking Shanahan for bungling time management instead of Reid. The torch was passed last night.

Watching a bunch of these interviews, Andy Reid seems like such a down to earth nice guy with a good sense of humor.

Hard not to like Andy. I just wish he would have stayed in the NFC.

Well the parade is today...I can't see Travis being able to match his brothers epic speach from two years ago, but I'm sure he'll try.

I do think that San Francisco really did themselves a disservice by not tying more of those jet sweeps with Deebo Samuel in the second half. The Chiefs had no answer for that play.

They should have ran the ball when it was 20-17. Instead, two incomplete passes on second and third down that stopped the clock and the drive. It was second and 5 yards to go.

Not running is easy to say in hindsight, but let's give Chris Jones big credit on that 2nd and 5. The 49ers got Kittle matched up on Terrell Suggs and predictably Kittle got wide open. If Jones doesn't bat the ball down the 49ers probably get a monster gainer. The tweet below bemoans Samuel not getting the swing pass, and he was open too, but Kittle is the first and correct read there. Credit Jones for a great play, maybe the quiet game changing play of the night.

Yes, huge play by Jones. I think though that SF could have picked up 5 yards on the ground on second and third down. Defence must have been tired at that point.

Chiefs had eight guys in the box and six on the line. They were always gonna sell out on stopping the run. I think every 49ers fan alive would take Kittle on Suggs instead of running into a stacked box. I can't criticize Shanahan too much for his 4th quarter calls, better execution and the 49ers win. His decision to turtle at the end of the first half or kick the FG on 4th and 2 deserve far more scrutiny.
