So Im going to pick the Hotshots as my team...just cause of the name and if its a decent product getting to Phoenix is easy enough to do.

Plus they have guys named Scooby and Chunky on their opening night roster.

I would think that two teams with minimal time together would favour the defense. I would go with the under if I was a betting guy.

Defense can score too!

Plus Mike Martz is coaching.

also, I'm physically incapable of betting the under in any sport. I think I'm allergic.

I'm surprised by how much I like that.

I really like San Antonio's offensive scheme and their receivers have some real speed.

yeah, the SA doesn't pick up the blitz well, that might be on the QB as well.

Damn SA is running a King and Queen spread . . . . nice.

I don't think this is bad for the first game of the year.

I don't know about the rest of the teams, but this is pretty high paced football. And that catch was amazing.

Like I said, I really like the pace, the polish on offense will come, but some really great catches, and defensive plays.

I'm pleasantly surprised.

I'm curious about the other teams now.

Yeah, I like how they're doing that with the commercials. Like I said before they need to sneak in more old school ads during the comentary.

"Its third down and long"

"Speaking of long Bob, you can take the long view with Dewey Cheatum and Howe Investments"

"Thanks Tim. There's the Quarterback taking the snap and he drops back"

"Internet keeps dropping out, AOL guarantee's 98% up time"

"Great insight Tim, he throws the ball and its incomplete"

"You know Bob, when I throw a bunch of incompletions, I turn to Viagra the champagne of boner pills"

So how voracious is the appetite for football in the US? Even when its a bunch of guys you have never heard of or seen play much?

Last nights game went head to head with the NBA as OKC played Houston. 2 playoff teams. Leagues last 2 MVP winners head to head. Former team mates on top of that.

NBA rating.... 2.5
AAF rating.... 2.9

Unreal.

Football > any other sport in the US. I think a lot of viewers tuned in out of curiosity and there's still interest in football with the Super Bowl last weekend. The true test will be later on in the season to see who's still watching.

For sure there is the curiosity factor but that has to be a best case scenario for them regardless.
