The Aurora phone App isn't calling for much in YYC right now... perhaps after midnight now. But then again the last Aurora night here it wasn't calling for much either and I got several fantastic photos. Also on FB there's a group "Alberta Aurora Chasers" although hard to glean much as it's mostly people just typing "F" (for Following) and other useless chitchat

There was nothing immediately north of Calgary. people were on the road at 3am and saw nothing but a glimmer on the horizon. Apparently it was a REAL light show near Fort Mac. Someone just posted these...

Flew from Comox to YYC this morning, leaving at 5:30.
Captain told us about the lights and turned off the cabin lighting so we could enjoy them.
Nice tough Westjet.
