Hope Deshaun Watson cashed in all those endorsement deals when he was the next big thing last year. Cause he's looking more like the next RGIII right now.

I understand trying to protect QB's but that roughing the passer call on Clay Matthews is just ridiculous. It was a perfect form tackle. Crazy.

^^Injury has nothing to do with making terrible reads/throws. As I said with the Baker is a HOFer hype on Thursday, year one for QBs is almost irrelevant. Once teams have the film, that's when we find out how good a QB is.

agree with the bolded. Still, it's not like Watson is bombing ... he has 300 yards on the day. Just had TD pass negated by a holding call and immediately throws another. Weird timing for criticism, the Texans have bigger problems than Watson. He's going to be fine.

Yeah this last one was no penalty. He has to be frustrated.

At this rate the rule will be changed from the Rodgers Rule to the Matthews Rule. You must admit it's pretty hilarious he's been involved in that rule three straight weeks.

Pop Quiz: Which NFL QB that virtually no one considers a top QB is 9-1 in his last 10 starts?

Yeah I was definitely shocked to hear that. Dolphins might be a really deep sleeper this year, solid looking football team.

He only threw for 385 with 2 TD and led his team in rushing with 36 yards. What more do you want?
I don't care what team you are, when your leading rusher has only 36 yards your team isn't going to have a god day. When the leading rusher is your QB it's even worse.

Kyle Shanahan I guess thought his team was down 10? Otherwise why else go for a FG down 14, inside the 20, with less than 6 minutes to go? Horrific.

lol that Saints-Falcons game is awesome. Those missed tackles on Brees were awful.
Jacoby Brissett has to try the hail mary, probably because Luck can't do it any more with his shoulder.

The Chiefs leading rusher has 40 yards. The Patriots are have had five 1,000 yard rushers in the Brady era. The Packers literally use a WR as a RB. This is the NFL now, running the ball is borderline irrelevant. Watson had nice stats today, he also threw a terrible red zone interception that cost them the game (as did Derek Carr today as well). This is why stats don't tell the whole story.

Being generous, there appears to be about 30,000 empty seats for the all-LA matchup today. The Rams might be the best team in the league, and they still can't get people in the seats. LA is an even worse market than any of us thought, and we all thought it'd be bad.
