Ok episode tonight. Looks like Mel and his gang are basically FTWD's version of Negan and the Saviors, only less intimidating.

So ya, we basically have FFWD past a couple years of stuff...I guess it was boring. From the looks of things they have been run out for awhile by these guys and are at the "must hunt and kill" phase.

I fear that with this big time jump this season will be nothing but episodes filled with flashbacks.

Seems lazy.

I had such hope.

Although I do like the idea of using the kid as a spy, even though it was obvious.

Ya, spy kid was good.

Hopefully they realized the whole, finding a new camp, setting up camp, losing camp is boring and the one flashback episode was enough to give us the general outline of what happened, without holding our hand through it. Sadly I expect them to flashback to every detail though, through this season.

Last season was good. This one has not given me much hope.

Funny though, given that Morgan is here that it is now set near or beyond the timeline of TWD. Maybe they will continue time jumps to get us to some more interesting stuff where fuel is no good anymore, most good stuff has been scavenged etc.

Pretty solid episode! The ending caught me by surprise.

As soon as they did that I thought to myself, I can watch another season just to see where it goes.

It would be nice to see a ballsy death like this on TWD.

I will be honest I didn't see it coming.

I only saw it coming because I thought I'd check this thread to see if it was a good episode or not. I did not expect to read that Nick had died!

The whole episode was fairly formulaic though. An uneasy partnership through forced adversity causes 2 groups to work together to solve their problem, a villain to hunt down, and a "shocking" twist of the one they were trying to save ends up killing the guy who seeked revenge for her.

Though I've gotta wonder, where is Madison in this? Will it be revealed El Camino killed her, and that is actually the source of Nick's rage?

He was probably the most interesting character, it remains to be seen whether or not they can recover from that.

They are going to need some new characters soon...maybe that is why they brought Morgan in. They didn't think the 3 characters they had left could hold the series down. The cowboy and video girl are probably going to be core cast going forward.

They brought Elfman in as well, but we don't see her around, which does not bode well. And where is Madison?

I think everyone should be vulnerable, including the biggest characters such as Carl and even Rick on TWD. This gives these shows a measure of realism and credibility (yeah, I know, credibility in a zombie show).

I'm liking this show now and think it's better than TWD.

Anyone still watching this? New producers, new writers and new characters imo, has already done wonders for this show. It’s been better than all previous years combined. Bringing in Lennie James and Garrett Dillahunt has been a big light for this show. Even Jenna Elfman brings a fresh vibe.

It does look like the timelines are starting to get close to equalizing. Still wondering about Madison.

I’m actually looking forward to see what the next episode(s) bring. Amazing.

I agree, this season has been pretty solid so far. I really like the John Dorie character. Hopefully they'll keep him around for a while.

Climb up the ####ing chain link fence, Madison! Or, you know, don't.

Really had enough of Morgan's moralizing. What a lame character he has become.

Will be interesting where they head next. Hopefully they move along somewhere with the SWAT van.
