15.4 Exhibition Games.

(c) A Club shall be permitted to dress a minimum of eight (8) veterans for any Exhibition Game. For purposes of this Section 15.4(c), a veteran shall constitute either:

(1) a forward or defenseman who played in thirty (30) NHL Games during the previous season,

(2) a goaltender who either dressed in fifty (50) or more NHL Games or played in thirty (30) or more NHL Games in the previous season,

(3) a first round draft choice from the most recent year's Entry Draft, or

(4) any Player who has played one-hundred (100) or more career NHL Games.
A quick check through the Canucks' roster suggests only three players meet these criteria: Megna, Virtanen, and Chaput. There are some older players with more international and AHL experience, but those are the only three who meet the NHL experience as detailed above.

Looking forward to potentially seeing some people asking for Brouwer to be demoted to the AHL immediately while others disregard the performance completely and instead claim that Brouwer will likely perform better than last season!

Cramorossa is not listed on the official roster released in my post.

Nope - Virtanen doesn't meet it either. He only has 65 NHL games, played just 10 last year, and isn't a first round pick from this past year's draft (or the one before for that matter).

Lazar at centre. IMO he is the biggest mystery on the team. Could be a flop or a very useful, versatile player.

It will be joined-in-progress on NHL Network after the conclusion of the Caps-Habs game. That probably means that it won't be on GameCenter. Might need to tune in to the radio broadcast for the first period.

This will be Brouwer's tenth year in the league. I'm sure the only things he's concerned about in pre season are getting his legs under him and not getting hurt.

Throughout his career, Brouwer has been a slightly better producing Joel Ward. Having a bad year in your first with a new team is not uncommon. Frolik's production was down his first year here too, and people had him as a question mark coming into last season. I remember when Frolik at $4.5 was discussed as one of Treliving's free agent blunders. Where are those comments now?

Brouwer's down seven pounds. See how he starts the year before firing him into the sun.

Curious why Foo is not playing beside Jankowski.

@Fan960Steinberg: Slight tweak on #Flames pairings tonight:

Valimaki-Stone
Kulak-Bartkowski
Kylington-Andersson

Huge opportunity for Valimaki

Can we stop firing things into the sun. Lets be good solar system citizens shall we?

Read the previous posts before yours. Brouwer not at morning skate despite being listed on tonight's roster, Cramorossa is.

Wotherspoon, Kulak and Bart are all on one year deals too - at the very least this feels like a preview of a pairing next year.

Also, Kylington and Andersson have always felt like a natural pairing to me. Do they play together in Stockton? I don't have enough time watching either of them, but their styles seem like they'd compliment each other very well.

I wonder if the league is giving them a break since most of their team is in China.

Andersson played with Wotherspoon as the first pairing for Stockton last year. Also remember him with Kulak in the playoffs.

The Janko/Foo thing is relatively new whereas the Janko/Mange thing was all year round last year and they already have proven chemistry.

Dube's improbable run towards the NHL roster continues tonight. 2 goals.
