Default Day 2 (PM of July 24 - AM of July 25)

Lots in store today, with some medal chances for Canada. All events available to be streamed on the CBC Sports website, CBC Gem, and the CBC Olympics app.

Qualification for the Women’s 10m Air Pistol event begins at 18:00, Calgarian Lynda Kiejko competes for Canada.

Marc-Antoine Blais Belanger competes at 18:30 in the Men’s Individual Epee event.

In the Women’s Individual Foil event 16-year-old Jessica Guo, Eleanor Harvey, and Kelleigh Ryan compete for Canada. This event begins at 18:55.

At 19:00 Jason Ho-Shue and Nyl Yakura take on a South Korean pair in Men’s Doubles – Badminton.

Also at 19:00 Maxwell Lattimer and Patrick Keane row in Heat 1 of the Repechage Round in Men’s Lightweight Double Sculls. I think this will be live on CBC.

The Semi Final in the Women’s 100m Butterfly Event begins at 19:40. Katerine Savard and reigning World Champion Maggie MacNeil will swim for Canada in Heat 2.

The Men’s Street Skateboarding Event begins at 19:58. Canadian’s Matt Berger and Micky Papa are competing.

At 20:00 The Quarterfinals in the Women’s Single Sculls begins, Canadian Carling Zeeman will row in Semi Final 2, I think this will be live on CBC. The Men’s Single Sculls begins at 20:40 and Canadian Trevor Jones will row in Semi Final 2.

At 20:45 Canada has a medal opportunity and hopes to improve on the Bronze Medal from Rio in the 4x100m Freestyle Relay. I believe this will be covered live on CBC.

Mandy Bujold competes in Women’s Flyweight - Boxing and her match is scheduled to begin at 20:48.

Michelle Li plays for Canada at 21:00 in Women’s Badminton Singles.

At 21:05 Canadian Sarah Douglas will compete in Race 1 of the Laser Radial Sailing Event, Race 2 is at 22:20.

At 21:20 the Semi Finals for the Women’s Double Sculls begin. Gabrielle Smith and Strathmore’s Jessica Sevick row in Semi Final 2.

At 22:00 the first run of the Slalom – C1 Men’s Event begins, Cam Smedley competes for Canada. Also at 22:00 the Women’s Cycling Road Race begins, Karol-Ann Canuel, Leah Kirchmann, and Alison Jackson race for Canada.

The Repechage Round in Rowing for Four – Women begins at 22:00. At 22:10 The Men’s Repechage Round will begin, Canada is rowing in both events.

Scheduled to start at 22:44 Skylar Park competes in the Round of 16 in Women’s Featherweight Taekwondo.

Run 1 of the Slalom K1 – Women’s Event begins at 22:50, Florence Mahue competes for Canada.

Canada’s Mo Zhang plays at 23:00 in Women’s Singles Table Tennis.
Canada faces Japan at 23:30 in Softball.

At 00:00 Canadians Melissa Citrini-Beaulieu and 2012 Bronze Medalist Jennifer Abel compete in the 3m Springboard Synchro Diving event.

At 00:05 the Women’s Windsurfer RS:X sailing event begins, Nikola Girke is the Canadian competitor.

At 02:00 Equestrian events begin.

The Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Qualification begins at 19:00, but Canadians Ava Stewart, Brooklyn Moors, Ellie Black, and Shallon Olsen aren’t until Subdivision 4 which begins at 02:05.

At 04:00 the 100m Women’s Backstroke begins, Canadians Kylie Masse and Taylor Ruck will be in Heat 4.

At 04:35 the Women’s 100m Breaststroke heats will begin. Kelsey Wog in Heat 4 and Kierra Smith in Heat 6 are the Canadian swimmers. At 04:51 the Men’s 100m Backstroke heats begin, Cole Pratt and Markus Thormeyer swim in Heat 6.

At 04:20 Joshua Hurlburt-Yu and Josephine Wu will have a match in Mixed Doubles – Badminton. At 05:00 Rachel Honderich and Kristen Tsai compete for Canada in Women’s Doubles.

At 05:06 the Women’s 400m Freestyle swimming event begins, Summer McIntosh is the Canadian swimmer in Heat 3. The Men’s 4x100m Freestyle Relay is at 05:30, Canada is in Heat 2.

Was really hoping that Woods would medal in men's cycling... he did have a goo race finishing 5th is very impressive.

After all of his struggles with injuries, it would have been awesome to see him get a bronze...just isn't a great sprinter.

I forgot to include it but at 23:00 Felix Auger-Alliassime faces Andy Murray at 23:00.

Thanks, I should say that I am out of town from tomorrow until Thursday. I’ll still be able to do the GDT, but it probably won’t be quite as detailed as it normally is, but I’ll try and still capture all the Canadians in action and the proper times

I know, it is definitely not ideal! I’ll be in Halifax so the 3 hour time change will make it easier for me to watch the early morning events at least.
