Thank you again CofR for your great posts every day. I have the page open throughout the day to keep track of when to tune in!

This year is the most I've watched of a summer olympics, and it's because I can put the ad-free streams on CBC's website up on my TV and leave it there. Just an amazing setup and I'm glad they do it.

I'll miss the cheeky British commentators on the Track and Field streams. I also enjoyed the Cycling Road Race, Sport Climbing and Badminton way more than I expected.

Yeah CofR well done, I have Olympic apps and Twitter alerts, and your daily schedule was literally the first one I checked every day and set alarms accordingly. If we did CP Olympic closing ceremonies, you'd be the flag bearer.

I'll miss the games, but it gets me pumped for only 6 months from now for the Winter Olympics!!!

Thanks for the kind words everyone, I found these games more challenging than previous ones to keep track of tv coverage and which channels would be covering which event. Part of it is that they made it a little tougher to tell this year, part of it is I was a little busier between travelling and work to try and sort out all the tv coverage. I have a plan to capture the information a lot easier for the games in February, and hopefully post it all in a more clear manner.

Why do divers have to shower after every dive, and on camera?

To wash away the chlorine and to stay warm. The shower water is warmer than the pool water. Remember when the Rio pool turned green?

These guys are moving at a 3:06 pace. That is absolutely insane.

My PB over just 5km is 4:09/km. These guys are going 42km.

Choge's on another level, he does make it look effortless. Fluid and smooth from start to finish. And like many East African distance runners, he is blessed with otherworldly VO2 capacity. Only having to push 115 pounds through a race certainly helps too. He is such an awesome, grounded person to boot. Hard not to cheer for him. I truly hope (and believe) he will run a sanctioned sub 2 hour marathon without the aid of pacers before hanging up the shoes.

Kelsey Mitchell wins her semi final! With that that guarantees Canada walks away with 24 medals at these Olympics!
