I'm sure there are many other examples; and it's part of the complete package of what makes him a good player.

But when a player is under Tkachuk's skin, he's useless.

I am sure Dubois explained to management why he wanted out of CBJ. If it is a private matter, then he doesn't owe anyone an explanation beyond those directly involved.

Supposing I were to take the premise of this thread seriously... all player trade values are depressed until after the expansion draft, because if you acquire a top player, the quality of the player that Seattle will take from you increases as you push guys down the depth chart. It would be way better to sell when teams are looking to fill the holes Seattle creates.

I think you guys are forgetting how much fun the last rebuild was.
In a cap world, and without the Oiler perpetual rebuild curse, I think Flames would be fine.
We’d get a lot more for this core, at this time, then we did when Feaster started the sale.

Yeah, I mean obviously there is that to consider. I doubt anyone thinks you could do the whole thing mid pandemic season.
What you can decide now is whether the GM is the right guy. If not, who could replace them? Not sure there is a clear answer there either.

Does anyone trust GM Tre with the rebuild?
Took him 6 years to find a goalie
Does not shake up a his leadership group of Gio, Backlund, Monahan although they have proven over 6 years they are not good enough in the playoffs.
Then the Coaching disasters.
Free agent signings, picks he trades away...scary stuff.

Just reading this forum these days, and this thread in particular, one would have no choice but to conclude that this is the worst hockey team ever assembled and it will be lucky if it wins a single game this year
God have mercy on its soul

In fairness, I've been saying this for years.

Well...four playoff round victories since 1989 certainly screams just about exactly this, so continued ineptitude is tough to swallow for such a passionate fan base.

Your salt is showing. Does Juolevi ruffle any feathers, let alone provide NHL quality minutes?
Grats on your free Sens points to soothe your ego! May Benning live to squander another day.

So Jarmo and Torts just throw him under the bus for no reason?
https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/2099914/amp
Both have said they are not sure exactly why he requested the trade.

Any time I start to feel any sort of sadness about the Tkachuk vs. Juolevi thing, I look at Chucko's play-off .300 ppg.
Long live Benning! Patron saint of the 4th liner!

Canucks win a few games, Blaster86 appears and involve in several threats in a day gloating. Canucks lose a few, he disappears to have Thanksgiving dinner with family.

Remember the 2012 Kings... they were below the playoff cutline with only a handful of games to go in the regular season, then Darryl Sutter walks in the door and the next thing you know they're hoisting the Stanley Cup.
Remember the 2019 Blues... they were dead last in the league about a third of the way into the season, thinking about blowing the whole thing up, then they made a switch at goaltender and the next thing you know they're hoisting the Stanley Cup.
That's the intriguing thing about sports... things can change on a dime and you never know when it'll happen or what the catalyst will be. I believe we have a pretty good team here, and it's just a matter of them getting on the same page and playing for 60 minutes every night.
For better or for worse, I believe this team will show us its true colours over these next 15-20 games. Hang in there.
