Honestly I think the complete opposite is more likely.
Sutter teams always dominate the fancy stats, but I'm not sure they have the talent to cash in on out playing teams.

I always enjoy them. Sometimes I'll miss the link to them in the post, and also if the team is just playing a stinker I sometimes feel further analysis is hard to get up for.
I love the plain speaking and glass half full approach of them though.

I almost always read them (didn't see that option! lol). I don't end up having to go somewhere else to have a peek at the advanced metrics for the game, and I think the Game Takes thread helps to refocus the conversation at times as well, and often gives a fresh start in a thread that might have become a bit off the rails.

I greatly appreciate the effort. It's always a great read with statistics offering the proof of what we did or did not do.
Keep em coming .....and thanks to the moderators as well.
Also thanks to the guys cleaning the suicide booth for the opposition fans that come here to troll and do troll types of things.
And lest we forget the ATL.....CP......has it all.

Continue them only if you enjoy doing them for yourself and it isn't taking time away from your life you would enjoy back for other things.

I have read every one of these for the past several years. I certainly hope it is a labor of love for you as it's obviously a huge commitment.
I think I most enjoy reading the bits where you offer your own personal insight/opinions.
They are just very well done Bingo.

Always read them. Especially useful on days when I can't catch the game. Much better write-ups than we get from most "professional" sports writers.

Voted Always read them but not all that important , but I didn’t want to leave the impression that they are not appreciated. I just meant that if the effort is too much to write, the site will be fine without them.
I am not an analytics guy, but I do like the summary of the important numbers to get a feel for that part of the conversation. Perhaps an alternative to game takes is a concise summary of some of those metrics and how they may match the eye test. Just a thought.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

Love the 'new' format that you have been employing, with more stats. As others have said, it is my only source for stats on the games - too lazy to go them myself.
As to the poll, I voted 'Always read them' instead of 'must read' only because I know they are a LOT of work and for that reason I don't want to pressure you to do them.
However, I actually think they are a must read, and they often spark better conversations than the PGT, which can be a #### show - especially after losses.
I am not going to ask you to keep doing them, but I am sure glad when you do.

I am staying out of the poll, but Bingo, I have always appreciated the work you put into the game takes and find them most valuable. Thank you!

I read them sometimes but would probably read a weekly Flames report or something similar more often. Its hard to read every one especially with so many back to backs. Appreciate the work and definitely part of what makes CP such a great resource for fans.

I appreciate the game takes and almost always read them but rarely comment. It’s refreshing to read something more even keeled than the PGT’s.

Always read them and usually comment.
I much prefer those threads over the PGTs.

I would say that I only occasionally read them, but if they spark a discussion, I almost always read the thread and probably take part in the discussion. I guess you could say that I vicariously get the information, at least if it was a game where something noteworthy happened.

I read every single one. They're great and the Bingo written takes are always well balanced with insight I don't find in other write ups.
I always appreciate the work that goes into preparing them.

Always read them, always appreciate. That said, if you can’t get help I think a weeekly recap would be awesome too.

You're a great writer, with some good insight into the game and the flames. You are also pretty even keeled and don't get too emotional about the state of the team. Pretty important qualities if you want to write meaningful articles about the flames. If you like doing it, I hope you keep it up. Always read them and the inevitable good discussions they generate.

I always read them and prefer them over the bi polar comments you often see in PGT.
