Yeah Dirt in VR is the first VR title where after even just 5 minutes I came out of it nauseous.

Yeah rapid cornering and VR don't mix very well

I've always liked the Dirt games but I can't get over how bad the Dirt 4 graphics are compared to games like Forza.

Is Oxenfree worth a 2nd play through? Is the story significantly different or is it pretty much the same thing with a few tweaks?

Is Forza Motorsportts any good? I tried Forza Horizons 4 on PC but it didn't translate well to a wheel setup. I know that's the more arcadey spin off so I'm curious to try regular Forza

I believe Forza Horizon 4 is widely considered the best racing game ever.

Really? I did not like the handling one bit, especially dirt tracks when using a wheel. Lots of complaints online about it. But I loved buying and tuning cars so was really dissapointed that dirt races were unplayable

Maybe they'll patch it, I read that it wasn't like that in the beta. I think the bigger issue is it's clearly meant to be played with an Xbox controller, not a wheel

I think Forza Horizon is meant to be more arcade-y as far as driving goes, so yeah it's not nearly as optimized for a wheel as the Dirt series is

That said, Forza with a controller is significantly better than Dirt with or without a wheel. The Dirt series is its own thing at this point and offers something different, but EE is right, Forza Horizon 4 is the best racing game ever made

Can it really be the best racing game if it sucks with a steering wheel though?

Looks like Bioware's anthem is falling incredibly flat, looking at the reviews.

Yep, the only buzz online is negative. Makes all the same mistakes Destiny 1 did, except not as fun to play and people are far less forgiving 4.5 years later.

Unfortunately, with two high priced duds in a row, I'm not sure Bioware will get another crack at it.

Yeah not getting great reviews but also not helped again by weird EA scheduling.

They launch APEX: Legends two weeks before Anthem - and that game has blown up.

So while they are not direct competitors from a genre perspective it just took a lot of the attention and hype away from Anthem since it's F2P and became ultra popular.

How many busts is that for Bioware now. Anthem and Mass Effect Andromeda come to mind.

This better not effect my SWTOR, I know they took a bunch of people off of it to work on Anthem.

It's possible (and been heavily speculated) that they did this to purposely draw attention away from Anthem, knowing it was looking pretty rough.

Flip side is that EA apparently takes a very hands-off approach with Respawn and let them set their own release date for Apex

There's lots of rumblings in the Battlefield community that Apex might have killed BFV's upcoming battle royale mode (Which I'm fine with, not interested in it anyway) but lots of Dice devs have been quitting in the last few weeks. Hopefully, it doesn't mean the end of BFV before they even finish fixing it

Ending of ME3 kicked it off, Dragon Age Inquisition wasn't bad, SWTOR albeit still alive, was a bust (I still actively play), I think this could be it for Bioware, going to be taken behind the shed and EA'd.

Aw, thanks for the reminders. Westwood, Maxis and Bullfrog. The main 3 sources of fun for me in the late 90's

THQNordic didn’t see an issue with doing an AMA on 8chan eh? Bold move Cotton, let’s see how it works out for them.

...oh my it is not working out well at all. This was a terrible decision.

I think its hard to call it a bust, from my understanding its still making a good profit. The improvements in a lot of ways made it a way better and deeper game then it originally does. I will argue that the KOTFE/KOTET was just not a great expansion. But I'm looking forward to 6 which is suppossed to be a big expansion and take the Sith Empire and Republic back to war.

I've been playing since the start and I have

Sith Warrior - Kind of neutral

Sith Inquisitor/assassin - completely evil,
Sith Inquisitor/sorcerer - again evil as heck
Imperial agent/stealth - Started evil but became neutral, the agent main story is the best story in the game.
Imperial agent/sniper - good guy
Bounty Hunter the close in guy - Neutral though he likes to kill jedi
Jedi Counceller (stealthy) - grossly good
Jedi knight -grossly good
Smuggler dirty fighter - Kind of a jerk
Smugger sniper - still a jerk
Republic trooper commando - completely evil, kills everything to win
Republic trooper - neutral.

The story lines range from great to meh, my rankings

Imperial Agent - Just an awesome storyline, you actually make huge choices that shape the game around you
Sith Warrior - I liked this story, but he felt more like Palpatine then vader
Bounty Hunter - I'm just one man trying to make a living. Good story, but the ending which shoot the republic, could have been better
Smuggler - I liked it because basically the story is about a jerk that loses his ship and then becomes a bigger jerk once he gets it back
Jedi knight - a pretty good story, with an ending that should have been a huge victory but eventually leads to the fall of the galaxy
Sith Inquistor - No matter how you play this you are more a serial killer then anything else, but if you like ghost busters this is your jam
Jedi Counselor - I don't know, the other stories had great voice acting, this guy was dryer then dirt, and the story just wasn't great, though everyone kept telling you that you're basically the chosen one, yet you can't betray everyone and go to the empre
Trooper - Too much yelling, for the republic then going off to commit war crimes.
