I have no idea. It totally depends on what cases do and what measures are put in place to reduce spread in the event that they keep growing.

But there's absolutely nothing inconsistent with knowing that the vaccines are exceptionally good at preventing severe disease while simultaneously understanding that there are enough unvaccinated people in Alberta to fill hospitals many times over if COVID keeps spreading through the population.

Determining our policicy options requires us to assign probabilities to such outcomes.

Boy is it ever going to be frustrating when a variant emerges that truly renders our vaccines insufficient to protect us from infection and hospitalizations.

Our previous peaks were while we had restrictions of various kinds in place. Now we have no restrictions but we have vaccinations. It’s hard to compare apples and oranges. Restrictions were put in place in previous waves because without them we would get uncontrolled exponential grown far beyond our ability to cope. We may now have uncontrolled growth in the albeit smaller unvaccinated population. I’m not willing to bet where that will end up.

Probabilities depend on the assumptions you make, would you agree?

Previously reported numbers were incorrect due to "technical glitch".

What makes you say admissions look exponential?
Do you know what an exponential curve looks like?

Then maybe stop saying the increase in hospitalizations look linear but too early to conclude this when we know that the growth we are seeing is the start of an exponential growth curve. Now if you had any evidence that it isn’t exponential like everywhere else then you could support your statement.

We can have exponential hospital growth and your theory that hospitalizations will peak lower can still be true.

This is a true statement.

As for what the hospital growth rate looks like... We will have to wait and see.

Vaccines do not keep unvaccinated people out of the hospital. I'm not sure how else to explain this

Your statement and my statement are not mutually exclusive.

I thought it looked linear to you, and the things that showed otherwise were uninteresting?

Now you want to wait?

ain't that the truth, and I'm no exception.

Got a friend travelling to Florida for work tomorrow, I imaging he will be keeping a very low profile while he is there. Which he always does when he is there, but probably more so now than before.

Add Banff municipal employees to the list of mandatory vaccine.
So if a person refuses to comply to these mandates does that constitute grounds for dismissal or would they be entitled to severance?

Probably purely ideological/vindictive on my part, but I'm becoming increasingly opposed to rapid testing. Like it's fine for schools were kids are under 12, or maybe a few other limited scenarios, but I'd rather not see options for people to continually get around vaccines.
