Cell phone location data is readily available for purchase. My company uses it any time we evaluate a new location.

Reliable data regarding infant danger? I of course will be avoiding exposing my two week old daughter, but if this #### is everywhere it seeks damn near inevitable.

Well that's a good start anyway. But if you are relying on the NYT et al any more than the NY Post, you're just not recognizing a more finely crafted version of manipulation.

It wasn't a case of the government getting data secretly or by nefarious means, or even data that is only available to governments. It was the government buying an existing product from Telus. The data is aggregated and anonymized, or so they say.
Telus customers can opt out of having their data included in the program if they want.

This is about day 6 it took South Africa until about day 14. Then it showed flat but their capacity was maxed so tough to say. But I would put peak about Jan 4-6 or so.

Anecdotally, I know multiple people who've tested positive with rapid tests and have symptoms, but can't get government tracked pcr tests done. I'm guessing there are also a bunch of people, who are less honest, with symptoms not testing at all.
This is definitely a different beast.

Once again, why are they trying to book another test to confirm they are positive? Isolate for 10 days and go on with your life. The government doesn’t need to know you had a cold.

My wife tested at about 4:30-5 yesterday afternoon and just received her (negative) results. About 14 hours.

I think Christmas gatherings increase the speed to peak.

Sure looks like we’re going to let this run it’s course, whether we like it or not at this point.

Don’t know if “let this run” is the right phrasing as that suggests we had any say in the matter. This thing is spreading like wildfire.

This was prior to December 24th when bc changed the protocol. Now bc is stating no testing if you are vaccinated and have mild symptoms. They've basically given up counting.

You are probably right but we also should be learning that letting it run isn't a path of this.
Previous infection isn't stopping omicron either.
And very limited support to the idea that this will constantly mutate in ways that less serious. There will be more dangerous strains that emerge in the future. Just have to hope that our current vaccines and treatments can keep the damage down when that occurs.
And future pan-coronavirus vaccines workout.
