When you're playing a good offence like Buffalo you can't be kicking game tying field goals with 5-6 plays left for you to lose.

Really KC was luck Los Angeles didn't tie the Sunday game...but in that case the field goal didn't beat them.
They had already botched the clock so badly by that 4th and 1, they weren't really in a position to try for the TD. Even had they converted, unless by some miracle they got out of bounds on that play, it's on the 30 or so, 25 seconds, 1 timeout. But that's where being down 3 versus 4 matters, down 4 they would have been aggressive from the start for the TD. Down 3 you can "settle" for OT, even though that's cowardly as ####. And for the Lions this was their chance to really get into the playoff mix, a win today with their fairly soft remaining schedule and they could really have a shot in the weak NFC. Campbell's in game management has been suspect for a while now.

I didn't care for the Yolo ball on 3rd and less than 1.

Last year on Thanksgiving they botched the clock management so badly that I thought they'd fire him at the end of the game.

I guess he has a few more years to learn so long as the team starts winning more.

Big win for the Cowboys. It certainly wasn’t a masterpiece but it was a must win to keep them in the running for the NFC East lead.

They need to be less cute on offense though. It’s just unnecessary when you have weapons.

It will be fascinating if they end up with OBJ.

Tony Dungy and Jason Garrett combined have the charisma of skim milk.

This is probably the best Mac Jones has ever looked in the NFL.

This has been a pretty solid day and a half of sports since I got off work early for thanksgiving yesterday. Great Canada World Cup game and Flames game yesterday, then World Cup games on the TV from when I woke up until I switched to the NFL which have all been mostly pretty fun games.

If you are a college football fan its a virtual smorgasbord tomorrow and Saturday as well being its rivalry weekend.

Great week of sports.

He's so smooth out there. Nothing about him looks dominant, but no one can stop him.

The Thanksgiving afternoon game between the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys set the mark for the most-watched NFL regular-season game on record.

The Cowboys' 28-20 victory on Fox averaged 42 million viewers, according to Nielsen, surpassing the 41.55 million average for the Dec. 3, 1990, Monday night game between the Giants and San Francisco 49ers on ABC. Average viewer record numbers date to 1988.

The average viewership for the three Thanksgiving Day games Thursday was 33.5 million, surpassing the previous high of 32.9 million in 1993, when two games were aired.

The average was also up 6% over last year's average of 31.6 million.

The Buffalo Bills' 28-25 win over the Detroit Lions on CBS was the most-watched early Thanksgiving Day game on record with a 31.6 million average.

NFL stronger than ever?

So Trevor Siemian was supposed to start for the Bears today after Fields hurt his shoulder.

Siemian promptly injures his oblique in warmups and is unable to go....so Nathan Peterman is now starting against the Jets and a really good defense and a team who also has a new QB starting this week.

Yikes.

Zach Wilson should draw inspiration from Peterman starting, he can still have a long career in this league!
