Sue me, but I actually liked Dawes in his stint with the flames. Does seem like a player who was always destined for larger ice though.

It is far from a perfect metric, but I find it is more useful when applied to especially young players who are still developing, or players who have never played in the NHL. Having a better NHLe is certainly more encouraging than having a poor one, no?

KHL regular season has ended (been discontinued). Sochi didn't make the playoffs, so Zav can come back and have somewhere to play
Jokerit did make the KHL playoffs, but they have withdrawn from the playoffs due to Ukraine

He's still only 21, and they own his rights for a long time yet. Heck, he's still got one year left on his ELC after this one.
