You're so horny for the Flames to make a trade, just to make a trade. You really show your age sometimes.

Maybe my expectations were too high on him, but I was really excited about his chances in the NHL. Figured he'd be kind of a 10-15 goal, ****disturber.

So far he just looks slightly too small and weak at every aspect of NHL, and that's after a lot of time spent here over two seasons now. Oh well.

well, at least smith looked good. pretty bad game from almost everyone else but showed good resilience to pick up a point at least. really tough luck not to score in overtime on the 3 odd-man rushes they had. seems like all game long they pass when they should shoot and shoot when they should pass, even then, the puck bouncing away from tkachuk on the rebound was just, ugh.

i don't really care about the shoot-out, but what's with peters' selections?

Carbon copy of the Vancouver game. Better team lost.

Encouraging to see Smith play so well. They might go back to him on Saturday.

Reward Smith with another start.

My God this team can't score a shootout goal. Good thing we dont see this in the playoffs.

James Neal also left the game with an injury in the 2nd period, but nonetheless, your point is valid. He has not come as advertised.

I don't know. Everytime I get some faith in him, he craps the game the following game.

Chucky is snakebit lately, but he and Monahan are about our only options.

I liked the Mangiapane choice tonight, he at least tried a deke and to attack with speed, something different than our usual slowly come in and shoot low strategy.

I'd still like to see Jankowski, Backlund, or Lindholm.

Hell of a way to waste a solid game from Mike Smith.
They simply aren't built to grind out low scoring games. Their structure looks different, it's much more passive.

This looked like a Gulutzan loss to me.

I think Hamonic and Ryan were good. Andersson was vigorous and had that cannon (should have used it more in fact).

Can't complain about that one. 40+ shots in regulation, got a point. Strange how we seem to struggle 3v3 these days though.

I feel like being bad at shootouts is a staple of good teams btw. Swear the Kings sucked at them in their contending years, Bruins have sucked at them over their years of contending.

Oilers seem to dominate shootouts OTOH over the years of 1st overall draft picks.

Because he is a talented goal scorer and Peters believes in him and shootouts are garbage anyways.

Disagreed. 0/3 on the PP. First two periods hardly show up with low percentage shots. Remember they are playing the Panthers, not Tampa.
