Flames Flames Interested in Mark Stone And Jimmy Howard thoughts ??

https://theathletic.com/809372/2019/...or-mark-stone/

Very interesting read I think Stone would be a great fit on the second line.

Matthew Tkachuk - Mikael Backlund- Mark Stone.

That's not a rumour, that's just a story suggesting we try to get him.

Just more of the same. Stone would be a great fit on any line on any team. Blah, blah blah.

Of course Treliving has. Kypreos should just report that “Treliving has reached out to all teams that are on the outside looking in with pending UFA’s that aren’t awful”

Also an absurd offer suggestion.

Evander Kane got a 1st, 4th and some low end prospect

Paul Statsny was a 1st and mid-range prospect (or a 4th if the prospect didn't sign)

But this offer is a 1st, 2nd, Jankowski, Czarnik and Kylington... easy there friend.

Why can't it be a thread? Are you that afraid the Schlemko or Panarin thread will be knocked off the first page? This forum doesn't move that fast, it's not like any threads will get knocked out if this one gets made.

Was that a suggestion in the article? I always viewed this guy’s opinions as rubbish.

No change.

Mark Stone is way better than Kane and Stastny, for what it's worth. Stone is probably a top-20 forward in the entire league.

There isn't a great comparable at most trade deadlines - but to add another -

Shattenkirk (plus the Capitals current backup goalie) for a 1st and two middle ranked prospects (plus a 2nd if he re-signed with Capitals or they reached conference finals)

This would be the biggest trade deadline return in ages.

Seems wildly doubtful

Washington also got Pheonix Copley in that trade I believe, who's their current backup.

Hi-JACKEd!!!

Rank flames journalists from best to worst:

Bingo
Wes Gilbertson
Eric Francis
Kelly Hrudey
Darren Haynes
Scott Cruickshank
Eric Duhatschek
George Johnson
Ryan Leslie
Brian Sutter
Kristen Anderson
Pinder
Warrener
Steinberg
Boomer

Did I miss any? We should do a ranking like we do for prospects each year. It would be neat to see what consensus is and how it changes from year to year.

A lot of those aren't journalists, they're broadcasters. Can probably lump them all together as media.

As remote the possibility, I hope Treliving finds a way to ship out Neal and bring in a signed Stone.

I too am interested in Mark Stone's thoughts.

How does he feel about Red Onions?
Is Ottawa as boring as they say?
Whats his opinion on Natural Selection?

While working for The Guardian Rhett Warrener won a Pulitzer in Journalism for his coverage of the Rwandan genocide.
