Default [News] Francis - Kane expects more fireworks when Sharks, Flames resume rivalry

https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/...esume-rivalry/

https://www.mercurynews.com/2019/02/...-evander-kane/

Quote:
“We’ll see,” said Evander Kane when asked if he expected things to boil over from last game.

But on the eve of Thursday’s rematch, Kane played coy regarding the potential for further “action” in a game with serious playoff implications. Kane said he has “no idea” what will happen when the Pacific Division rivals reconnect in Calgary, repeating the phrase “we’ll see” five times with a smile on his face. Then, he acknowledged that the hit that sidelined Simek for two games with a concussion hasn’t been forgotten.

“I know what you’re asking, I know what you’re trying to get me to say. We’ll see,” Kane said. “It’s something that, hopefully, everybody in this room remembers because it doesn’t matter who you are, whether you’re a skill guy, a big guy, a tough guy or a small guy, it’s on each and every person in this room to stick up for one another. We’ll see.”

Tkachuk also danced around the subject, brushing aside Kane’s suggestion that he’s “just talk” and no action.

“I’m don’t think I’m going to be the guy who’s going to give you what you want on that quote,” the Flames agitator said. “Those games are fun to play in. I love those games. Our whole team’s thriving in those games this year. We have guys that can play that style, too. (Kane) is a good player. They’re a really-good team. It’s going to be a great game.”
Quote:
“We’re all going to find out how it plays out, but I don’t think anybody is too forgetful of what happened the last time we were in this building.”
Should be an exciting game, hope Kane gets KO'd tomorrow.

Seems like its set in Stone that he and Bennett are goingnto throw down tommorow.

If Kane was smart he would avoid that scrap.

Kane will try to go after Tkachuk because he will want no part of Bennett.

This is an important game, let the sharks run around like goons.

Kane fought Bennett in the pre-season.

I love Benny, but that fight match up scares me.

He’ll probably go after Ryan. Fake tough guy.

It's gamesmanship. They are hoping to get the Flames off their game. I actually didn't think Prout was that bad the last few games so if they want to scratch Kylington for him then so be it. Personally I would be fine if Bennett scrapped him. He may lose but just scrapping Kane would probably have the boys pumped up.

Was a wrestling match.. Ended quickly.

If they let them fly Bennett wins, Bennetts not the best clutching fighter though

Prout should play imo. Bennett will fight Kane im not sure if he will win but he ain't scared. I would rather it be Prout.

I expect Hamonic may have a word for Kane as well as they scrapped last year and it felt like some unfinished business.

I agree with playing Prout for this one, he nullifies any fighting threat on the sharks.

Definite homerism in here. In a fight anything can happen but Kane is the much more experienced and better fighter here. That said I hope he lays Kane out ( and I like Kane lol) but people saying Kane needs to be the scared one need to give their heads a shake.

Edit- referring to the Bennett vs Kane

Kane is an idiot who got tossed from the game by making an illegal, gutless play.

Bennett made a clean hockey play, fought someone to answer the bell - and moved on.

Prout should be play and line up on the opening face-off opposite of Kane, and let’s see what Kane does.

I really really hope Hamonic doesn't have to fight.

Guy has had his full share of pain this season
