Default Friedman: Flames have looked at Kunitz and Zuccarello

when asked about wingers the Flames could be potentially interested in Friedman on 960 says he thinks the Flames have looked at Kunitz and Zuccarello, or "guys like that"

Zuccarello might be a nice fit. Never much liked Kunitz.

McQuaid and Zuccarello.

Or ideally... McQuaid and Kreider.

I would absolutely love Zuccarello on the RW of Backlund and Tkachuk

How are Kunitz and Zuccarello "guys like that"?

Zuccarello has lead his team in scoring most recent years, is a strong two-way player and goes in the dirty areas but is small. Is 31 and looks like he has a lot left to give, outside of some injuries this year.

Kunitz has been a passenger for years, has 3 points this year and is 39 and done.

Lazy reporting, "guys like that, you know professional hockey players"

Chris Kunitz would be a complete waste of time and a roster spot IMO. Zuccarello would be a good add, though I am happy with the current roster as it is so would not be upset if we don't land either one of those names.

So, RW Finnish Zuccarello is 5'8" and 184 with 28 points in 37 games.
Canadian LW Kunitz is 6' 188 with 3 points in 30 games.

What does "guys like this" mean? Anyone who plays the wing in the NHL?

...beaten by 3 minutes...

Stockton could use Kunitz' experience but I think they're out of a playoff spot at this point so it would be too little, too late.

Hopefully we looked at Kunitz as a way of reminding ourselves what not to acquire.

The last time I saw Kunitz, he elbowed Hamonic right in the face.

Lazy reporting? He got asked a question on live radio and gave an off the cuff answer. How does that qualify as lazy reporting?

Kunitz looked terrible for the past couple seasons and would be the worst player on the team.

Kunitz is done like dinner. He should be on waivers nevermind looked at by anybody.

I guess if the Blackhawks want to be somewhat nice to him then let him reach his 1,000 game milestone so he can get his silver stick, then put him on waivers for the purpose of buyout and then retire him.

Isn't Kunitz basically a crappier version of James Neal, right down to their Penguins tenure?

Good Lord. Chris Kunitz is 39-years-old?! Where have the years gone?
