Hamonic leaves game against the Caps (LBI)
He returned and played some shifts after twisting his right knee while being tied up, but left the game again.

More like Michael Stone. Flames need another RD here.

This is why you don't trade Mike Stone yet.

Tom Gulitti @TomGulittiNHL
Travis Hamonic tried to battle through, but ended up missing second half of game.
Flames coach Bill Peters said it's a lower-body injury. They'll know more tomorrow.

They missed him bigtime and it showed.
I had a sinking feeling when it happened the way he reacted.
Hope its not his knee and just a strain/tweak of the ankle.
Sigh...such an important guy to this club.

Definitely means we will be adding depth to our D at the deadline. I guarantee we add a veteran 4-6 D man before or at the deadline

Uh oh.
The fact that he came back mid-game hopefully is a good sign. Usually you can tell if its a bad one. Or he's just a tough SOB.
My guess. MCL sprain, week to week.

He finished out the game where he broke his jaw. Tough as nails.

Lou on 960 right now just said he has heard from sources that the Flames may have dodged a bullet, suggesting the injury is not as bad as first feared.

Nice that the Flames don't play til Thursday and even then might not be a bad idea to let him rest for another game or two...
