I always think McMurray. Because he seems a little off, and by mid April he can tell Wayne about all the trim down in ‘ Caicos.

My biggest dislike about Connor Mcdavid is the constant nicknames that arise from his name. I know, I'm being a buzzkill but its just something that has begun to bother me. I just short it CmcD when texting or typing.

i still giggle at collar mcbroken (even though you don't like seeing guys get hurt, that nickname is gold!)

While Collar McBroken is easily my favourite too, it's McLottery that seems to irritate my Oiler fans the most and that's what it's really about for me.

Not as good as Collar McBroken, but around the same time I found Connor McClavicle had a nice ring to it.

Not big on the names. I don't particularly like it when Oilers fans call Gaudreau "Johnny Midget" and the like. To me he's Conner McDavid. A really good hockey player that made a really bad decision to sign an 8 year contract with the Edmonton Oilers.

It's super discriptive but doesn't really roll off the tongue

It's a fair opinion you have there, but to counter, I think nicknames have always been a part of hockey, and it's not likely going to change. It gives fans and rivals something to kick around at each other. This thread is not necessarily a slam McDavid show - I personally think he's a great player being ruined in Edmonton. That's why I said to include oilfan and sympathy nicknames along with the obvious rivalry versions.
I'm fine with Oil fans calling Johnny whatever they like, particularly when he is outscoring their Savior at half the price.
