It was a bit more than an unboxing, showed the menus and stuff.
I'm a huge Nintendo fan, but this is actually the least interested I've ever been for a Nintendo launch. I've got one ordered, but the launch lineup is pretty slim, we have no virtual console info at all, and we are 2 weeks away. I use my WiiU all the time for netflix and Amazon Prime, becuase it is always right there, and easy to stream from. No info on those services either. Is it just me, or is this all pretty lack-luster at this point?

I realize I'm a fanboy of all things video games but I'm really liking the look of the hardware. I kinda don't care about the controllers coming off. The hardware looks pretty sexy and I really, really hope to play a lot of turn based strats on this thing (Disgaea, Ogre Battle, Tactics, etc.)
This seems by far the shortest time prior to release/launch I can recall from them. And more lackluster than all the rest of the consoles, with maybe the exception of the WiiU which I wouldn't consider a real console release as much as an upgrade.
I am excited for this because I am very busy, so gaming in bed is often my only option, and I do that on an 3DS, Vita or Ipad. This is a better system.
Anyone keeping up with 'Switchgate'? <i think I invented that word>
Apparently, someone stole a Switch from an undisclosed warehouse and sold it, and the person who bought it unboxed and turned on the system, selling the video to a website. Nintendo tracked the entire thing down and people were fired.
Although fun to see the operating system in use, it sucks to see the effort Nintendo put in to carefully release their latest console impacted by a few losers.

You can go ahead and uninvent it. Using the "-gate" suffix is the domain of the lazy and uninspired.
As far as the "leaker" goes, it was pretty obvious from day one that the unit was probably stolen. When we talk about breaking street date, that means a day or two. Not over two weeks.

Sorry, you now owe me money for using my word. I own it.
