Defenceman Cody Goloubef is taking Mark Stone's place in drills as Stone is not on the ice for practice today.

I tend to be pretty dismissive of these sorts of ideas, but I would be lying if I told you that Duchene did not give me pause to think about underlying issues like those Enoch has raised.

@TSN1200:
Guy Boucher says Mark Stone missed practice today with a simple maintenance day because of the amount of ice time he's been logging.

Ditto about Ryan O”Rielly, I’ll take any of those players on my team without hesitation.

Both Duchesne and O'Reilly have been called out for their desire to win after they were traded. Both were brought up by the Avs though, so maybe they sucked the desire from them. It is worth mentioning that Duchesne had a standing ovation in Denver when he played there with the Sens, so the fans seemed to like him. And then he scored a goal literally seconds later. It was pretty funny.
Personally, after living in the Ottawa area and getting to know the player a little bit more, I think his attitude seems fine. And I also like his game a lot and see his style fitting in well with the Flames. He isn't super flashy, but he has a high HQ and always seems to know where to be. A lot of his goals are scored with wristers from the face-off circle. He has a great wrister and is really good in front of the net.... a great tipper. He doesn't make a lot of highlight reel plays, but plays a simple and effective game. Plus he is great on face-offs. I would actually compare his style to Monahan.

Duchene also wouldn't be asked to take a real leadership role here like he has in other places. Might thrive out if the direct spotlight a bit

I do know that one player that truly stands out, in a positive way, when the Sens play Duchene.
I swear sometimes you never even notice Stone, unless he scores a goal (not saying it's bad).

Caps had been looking for a good two way winger who can PK.
Frolik for Burakovsky....make it so

Been speculating the same for quite some time.
Something is going on between both teams its a question of when.
The Flames have cranked up the scouting lately though, having multiple scouts at plenty of games in the part week.

Whatever happened to your claim that the Flames were trading for Brassard?

I know it’s different management now but I always think of Erat for Forsberg and still am shocked. I think they will regret trading Burakovsky though and agree there is no way it would be just for Frolik in a 1 for 1.

I am pretty sure he would be the first Swedish player born in Austria of Russian-Jewish heritage to ever play for the Flames. I can't think of any others anyway.
Yeah, he is a good player. He would add to the core of the bottom 6 perfectly.
