No one has posted anything from the new The Smile record? A lot of it sounds like a surprising evolution of the Ok Computer / Kid A era. Really interesting variety of sounds and textures but has a raw energy and intimacy to it as well.

I think Smile was the original name for Queen.

I love how much Hot Water Music is willing to let Chris Cresswell shine as the newest member of the band.

I've always been very impressed with the technical bass lines in Hot Water Music songs. That's a great tune.

The new IDLES album is out today and really does it for me. Hate to use a music cliche but their sound has really evolved over the last few albums. This one is probably the least abrasive but the most fun.

My favourite discovery of 2023, Yuri Zouma (out of New Zealand) just released a great new EP. It’s called EP IV. Easy naming convention.

Daniel Roman's new album comes out Mar 1. I saw him in concert a few days ago and knocked my socks off.

It really is incredible how break beats and such have influenced modern drumming. We are in the golden age of strange rhythm.

DIIV have been promoting their new music by claiming they’re the musical guest on SNL, with Fred Durst hosting.

Of course it’s not true, but I’m curious what they’re up to.
