Good signing for the Flames and Zary regardless.
This is what I remember him saying. He also said how teams typically say they “got the guy they always wanted” when trading down. He talked about having a group of players they were comfortable with.

No way they do that trade if Zary was someone they saw head and shoulders above the others.

It is unfortunate that we don't have a pre-season this year. Would have been good to see Zary and Pelletier play.

Are the scrimmages going to be broadcasted?

Why would it be sarcasm? 3 years for a kid with no NHL experience is very questionable...

Again, that is sarcasm

Uh, well ELCs for players of that age must be three years as per the current CBA.

Also, why does NHL experience have anything to do with it? Then it wouldn’t be an entry level contract if he already had NHL experience.

Nope. Zero NHL experience should equal a 1-year contract at max. Zary hasn't even scored in the WJC and he deserves 3 years?? Pft.

I'll make the fine print a different color this time so people finally start picking up on the sarcasm

The cool kids played this out days ago. Why are you trying to drag it along?

Zary fiiiiinally with an undeserved secondary assist. At most it should've been a 1.5 year contract

Smart player with nice vision but man does he need work on his skating, Do the flames still employ Dawn Braid? She'll turn him around.

I was very happy to see Zary’s ELC get signed yesterday. That’s the kind of move a competent organization gets done.

Seems like his good friend Kyrell Sopotyk was paralyzed in a snow boarding accident.
