Ya, Gord helped me with a fair price doing my garage gutters, and got to it quickly. So make that 2.

Anyone have experience with the 'no dig' vinyl fence? with lumber prices sky rocketing vinyl has become a viable option for us. We were quoted $55/ linear foot PT fence installed! White vinyl installed was $50/ linear foot.

For absolute #### sakes.
New Delta single handle in-wall faucet valve installed. Paid a plumber to install, we supplied. Finally get around to testing the new vanity and drain tonight...sweet nothing for hot water pressure. Cold is bang on, but hot is a sad, sad dribble.
Said wall mounted faucet also doesn’t reach far enough to wash your hands in said new vanity. That’s okay, not like I’ve already siliconed it to the ####ing cabinet carcass or anything
Anyone know if there’s some sort of adjustment for a delta R3510 flow rate that I don’t see in the tech sheet? And a method of telling a woman her overdue bathroom needs a new sink...that hopefully fits in the nook we built for it
So not stoked right now.

This just happened to my son when he swapped his kitchen faucet, most likely disturbed a bunch of crud in the lines or some gunk from assembly, but I got him to disconnect the hot line and run the cold with his hand over the faucet and it pushed some black gasket type material back through and cleared it right up.
Doesn't help you cause you can't do that, but that valve should be easy to disassemble and clean out from the front. Most likely theres just some crap in there.

Maybe you're lucky and the plumber just didn't turn on the valve in the cabinet? Did you check?

Don't know if this applies to you, but we had a single handle shower faucet installed in our last house. We noticed the water would not get very hot. The faucet had a little plastic ring which regulated the maximum pressure for hot and/or cold. It had been turned so that, when the handle was turned to maximum hot, it would only open the valve to allow about 1/4 of the maximum hot water pressure. I adjusted this ring, and our water temperature was back to normal.
The ring was not on the valve itself, but just below the faucet handle, and prevented the main valve from being turned all the way in one direction, if that makes sense.

Yup, was going to mention that as well. Looks like Delta calls it "TempAssure", see if yours has that feature.

Does anyone know where to get reasonably priced lumber? I was planning on building a new deck this spring but prices are absurd. Any leads?

Tough to fit the lengths you need in a DeLorean.

Follow up on previous meltdown:
Pulled cartridge apart, there was some debris clogging the inside. Ran water through balance without cartridge and a little bit of debris came out, but all works well now. Though YouTube kind of turned me right off of tap water out of these old iron pipes, let me tell you.
Also have decided to just make an escutcheon that matches the style of the fixture (if I can’t find one off the shelf) that will allow the spout to move forward 3/4” and see how that goes.
God, no need to have a freak out man.

My neighbour just made a planter box out of old pallets. You could try that - I imagine that would be a lot of pallets though.

You could find a local sawmill and buy rough lumber for the beams and decking. Only the surface you walk on needs sanding.

Our deck needs to be redone in the next year or two. I wanted to go vinyl but was having issues convincing the wife it was worth the extra cost. I don't think that will be an issue anymore when the time comes, hell vinyl may end up being even cheaper if lumber goes up anymore

Does anyone know how much grey pipe remediation costs for a 2000 sq ft plus house? (80s or 90s house)
My dad keeps telling me it's only like $3-5K to do a whole house and I think he's missing a 1 in front of that number or a 0 behind it. If it's really only $3-5 to do, I'd totally do that in an instant, but I'm like 99% sure it's in the tens of thousands to do. I totally forgot to ask the plumber when I had one come in to fix the leak in my basement.

Depends on how you do it... I'm thinking 3-5k probably covers the plumbing, extra for the drywall and painting afterwards. Finished basement (drywall vs panel ceiling) would add a lot of work.
