Agree.
Bingo’s earlier comment comparing Trouba’s to Regehr’s hits doesn’t compute for me - Regehr wasn’t constantly injuring players with borderline hits.

Frankly, it's great to see that Pelletier's repaired shoulder can take a big hit like that.

Interesting part is Huberdeau has been way more physical and uses his body a lot more than I ever recall him doing in Florida.
But your point is still correct, he's actually surprisingly effective at it and it probably could be a bigger part of his game.

Imagine Huby squaring off with Trouba and everyone's like... oh nooo.... but then suddenly, the entire hockey world rejoices in unison upon discovering Jonathan Huberdeau has been hiding his inner Jarome Iginla all this time, as he proceeds to wipe the entire ice surface with Trouba's face.

Was Regehr and his tunnel of death just a piece of ####? Because Hemsky got injured quite a bit from those hits. Was Z a piece of ####? Because quite a few players had either concussions or injuries after being hit by him.
We all loved big hits by guys like Regehr, Sarich, Phaneuf and Zadorov when they played here. Fans are just always upset when their players get injured, which is fair.

Yes, he plays better when he uses his body to advantage (not big hits, just forechecking hard and separating man from puck).

And I'm good with that.
As long at those that see a difference were equally outraged when Cory Sarich lit up Patrick Marleau.

Pelts had a happy birthday dad post on IG for Huby's bday.
Not sure what any of this has to do with Chicago?

I don't need Trouba style hits to enjoy hockey.
Call me soft but I'd be happy if those are out of the game & there's really only 1 or 2 guys left that still do that anyway.
When the intention is to injure guys and not gain a hockey advantage within the game, I don't need it.
Other, better defenceman than Trouba find ways to play physical, make hits, turnover pucks and don't need to do that, so the purpose is clearly just to hurt guys.

Regeher, Sarich and Phaneuf played in a different era of hockey and Zadorov had never been fined or suspended until this recent incident while DOPS has Trouba on speed dial. Trouba has way too many “accidentally on purpose” crossed the line plays to get the benefit of the doubt. Absolute scumbag.

I'll take Trouba on this team any day of the week and 3 times on Sunday.
We were going bonkers when Phaneuf did the same thing to opposing players.

Preference #1: No Troubas running around trying to injure players.
Preference #2: If there is a Trouba, he should play on our team.

The guy whose hits intend to seriously injure opposing players is upset when one of his teammates is seriously injured.
